No chance this games lives up to last year's regular season matchup. That atmosphere was crazy in the 4th qtr.

I'm waiting to cast my vote until the injury report comes out!:sssh:

I just don't like this matchup for Holmes. If Chames or Hill get in foul trouble, they have no other answer inside. Three good bigs against two gives 5 more fouls down low. That is a difference maker. The guards are pretty much a wash, with Bolden being the best, but Pangallo and Moeves are also very , very good. I believe NCC will jam it down low and just wear the Bulldogs out (of course, they should do that every time they play). I do believe it will be NCC by about 10. I hope I am way wrong, but looking at it objectively and having seen both, I just don't see the Bulldogs winning if it goes to form. But these things don't always go to form.

One thing you can pretty much bet on. These two teams will be ready. I would love to be there but Nashville is my calling card tomorrow night. While I am wining and dining prospects, I have to figure out a way to keep checking in to BGP!

Just got this straight from the "horses mouth", Tanner Moeves is more than likely, OUT for tomorrow night. :banghead:

Wrist still sprained from the fall in the All "A".

Sorry to hear that, however, this game is nothing more than a tune up. Loss by either team is not a factor in really anything. Hopefully, he will be back for the tourney. Not sure it changes my opinion much, though.

I've noticed Bolden typically does not guard the fastest/quickest player on the opposing teams. It is usually McClendon. Is it to rest Bolden or is McClendon a better defender?

McClendon is not only the best on the ball defender for Holmes, but also one of the best in the region. His quickness makes him extremely tough to get by.

As great as the frontline for NCC is, the head of the monster is Pangallo. Cut off the head, you slay the dragon. Game is in McClendon's hands.

CCH agrees with your assessment. That's why they gave Nick P the face-guard treatment.

Sorry. Zack P. No clue who Nick P is.

I just think NewCath is better, period. I see a win in the 8-12 point range for the Breds. If Chames can find a way to be active on the offensive glass against the terrific size of NewCath, it could soften the blow some. I'm sure Bolden will have a ton to try his darndest to keep Holmes in it.

As has been referred to since I posted this, not having T Moeves is a major problem for the Breds.

No T Moeves for NCC = no win

Fortunately NC has 4 other really good players. Losing Moeves hurts but it doesnt give the game to Holmes.

I think it does. They only go 6 deep and that will now be 5 deep on a college floor. Without their best outside shooter. Without their best outside defender.

Agreed. T Moeves is their best perimeter defender and outside shooter, IMO, but Grant can step in and be just as effective. Holmes will still have to play very well to win tomorrow night.
