I have a collection of old Baseball books, one of my favorite is "This Great Game" and it has photographs of some of the all-time greats, plus illustration by Leroy Neiman (guy with handlebar mustache years ago). Our friend StickyMitts, has made me aware of some more current Baseball books.

 

I've attached an image and if you get the chance, purchase this book for information and keep sake. My grandfather game me mine, years ago.

The Padres first baseman's 22 total bases also is a major league record.

 

1977 Giants' first baseman Willie McCovey establishes a new National League record by hitting his 18th career grand slam.

 

 

1978 Against Atlanta pitchers Larry McWilliams and Gene Garber, Pete Rose goes 0-for-4 ending his 44-game hitting streak as the Braves beat the Reds, 16-4.
