Hey where is that old NCBird? I'm sure he will have some input on this thread. :jump:

Yeah and his brother might have something to say about the gene pool becoming a little blue and yellow.

The goal is not only to go unbeaten, the goal is to go unscored upon!

Expecting a little much don't you think? :D

Didn't the 79 team do it? Coach Barr is still there

Who will quarterback this team? Is Charlie Barr still the head coach?

Come on 83, where are you going with this. Okay Okay we all know you guys went undefeated and unscored upon. There is one more stat that is missing, lets see who will be the first one to come up with it will be. I'm going to put my money on taballgame. Your reply answer doesn't count!!!!! And watch out for the roadrunner :scared:

Tell me some more about this Dierig kid. What position does he play? It is obvious where that gene pool originates from. :D

Great kid. He has a heart as big as the field. I believe he played running back in 8th grade. He has been training hard. I will never forget the last game last year, as soon as the game was over he walked right up to a friend of ours that trains, introduced himself and asked if he would help him train for freshman football. He is small but like LN said he is determined and never quits.

As I type he's driving down A1A towards Key West with his lovely bride. Not a bad gig that boy has going on. Poor guy, I just talked to him on his cell phone and he just learned its Fantasy Week in Key West. He's in for a real shock; then again, maybe not. He did go to NC before it became NCC  Advance apology to all the other BGPers who went to NC.

I know Wil Bardo is going to go out for the position and I believe there are a couple others are also going to go out for the spot. In an earlier post I said Wil will be the qb, and he may, but at least one of the other kids that I think is going to go out for the position is also one heck of a good athlete.

And Charlie is still the head coach. Last year he was assisted by Nick Behymer who also did a great job with the kids.

And as for the gene pool, he said he put Wil's gene pool up against the Boom gene pool any day of the week!

And when I said "he" in the last sentence of my prior post, I was referring to NCBird of course.

There will be quite a few familiar names on the Freshman roster.

Roller

Bankemper

Beck

Schlosser

Fennell

Fugate

Rosenhagen

Dierig

Bardo (Cecil's cousin)

Buten

Grote

Hogue

Trutschel

You gotta love that! Names that have been around here forever. It's really nice to read a list like this; especially when you have to deal with people suggesting that all the talent comes in from outside. This proves the contrary. :thumb:
Brandon Roller...His father was a very good player for Highlands as was his Uncle Bill.
If he has those Wild Bill genes, we're in good shape! :ylsuper:

Man oh man how did I leave off the Bankemper boy. I mention Austin and talked about how he got good genes from his uncle, John, and I got off track and forgot John's son, Spencer. Sorry about that Spencer. A great kid and equally great football player, assuming of course we can keep him away from bikes and automobiles. He had a tough 8th grade year injury wise, but he's going to be a real force next year as a freshman. Has his father's talent, but fortunately not his father's stubborness. He's one of those players like Cam Dierig that will out work almost anyone and just won't quit. Its been fun watching him transform himself over the last couple of years from a lineman into a running back. That's got to make the old man and even older, a lot older, grandfather happy.

Glad you remembered!

Hey, next time you see Johnny, ask him if he's got any lingering foot ailments from the third grade. He'll understand. ;)

How will the line be for the Frosh team? It seems to me whenever a lineman stood out in the Jr FB league, when I asked it would be a 7th grader.
