Is Middlesboro job open?

Featured Replies

Going for 2 up 3 , everyone was like what the hell cause he knew Somerset had a good kicker and well they drove down and kicked a FG to send it into overtime.

“They didn’t have anybody on our line and that’s my call. We missed a block or he could have walked in, but that’s neither here nor there,” Frazier said. “If we don’t go for two there, then they would have gone for the touchdown when they got down it down to the four (late in the fourth quarter).”

Still why onside kick late in the 4th giving Somerset short field only up 3?? Bad , Bad coaching decisions that game.

Thanks for the reply. It does sound like the coaching decisions in that one was a head scratcher. Was that typical?

Yes it is. Fans and administrators love critiquing a coaching call in a game when they see that team once a week. They very rarely know what is going on OR they would be out there leading the team or at least assisting. I was comparing it to my wof watching. I am aware I am better on my couch than I would be on the show.

I don't know coach Frazier but I hate when a guy is cut loose for what people think is a wrong call. This will come back to the jackets. Maybe it will be a babe Ruth type curse.

I understand that point of view. The thing is going for 2 gains you nothing past maybe putting you into position to tie or win with a FG of your own. To have that point of view you have to feel real good about your 2 min offense and your kicker.

I don't question the onside kick but the choice to go for two is reaching I think.

This is what happens when someone is successful, but someone that has more power does not like it. I have said it any many post on these open positions. Coach Frazier is being punished for his success. Supt. coached and was never the HEAD coach. This situation like many across the state is putting the quality of football on the line in this state. Football is very important in many communities, and you can look at the number of high quality coaches that have either left coaching, taken a different position, most of the time at a school where football was terrible or was not supported. I am going to watch some more of these moves, but I do not think Coach Frazier will leave a State Championship opportunity for his son even if he just watches. The new coach is on the staff. Good Luck

I hate to hear this because it seems to me just seeing them once or twice a year that M'boro football was definitely headed in the right direction.

I'm not sure that M'Boro is a State Championship opportunity, but I could be wrong.

Not really a state championship opportunity there. Saw them on tape last year and I thought the coach was doing A LOT with what he had.

From what I hear the Super has a buddy he wants to get it and taste the success and not let it be Frazier. It is an absolute shame this stuff goes on. I think it just shows the lack of loyalty in this generation of leaders in our school systems. They are only out for themselves and use their power to get what they want or manipulate the system for personal gain. Best of luck to Coach Frazier and his son.

Any ideas who the new guy will be?
