Very impressive win for the Lady Panthers tonight. This is their first win over the Lady Bears since the district final in 1993. This win also stops a Bracken County 26 game winning streak. Augusta moved the ball well with confidence tonight and were very strong on the boards. Unofficially Jerica Kelsch finished with 28 for Augusta and Bailey Cummins was held to 14.

I'm sure Augusta kept stats on the bench and they will be posted soon on the girls' khsaa team page. She may have had nearly as many rebounds as she had points!

2.There are no certainties in girls HS ball. Bracken comes off their signature win over a team that has dominated them, only to lose to a team they've dominated.

3. The district draw in the 39th just got a shade more important.

A. Without a doubt. '10-'11 - 2-16. '11-'12 - 7-18. '12-'13 - 13-13. So far this season - 12-6.

2. Probably fewer certainties in girls' HS roundball than with the boys.

D. On the money again. No disrespect to St. Patrick and the girls who lace 'em up (and I have lots of friends over there), but the other three teams in the 39th really want to draw the green straw.

As seen with her point total, and I'm sure will be seen when her rebound totals are provided, Kelsch was a beast down low.

She also is a very capable ball handler and I think even stepped out and hit a three.

All of the Lady Panthers were very solid with the ball.
