Final per the scoreboard.

An absolute clinic. Brossart is so efficient on the defensive side of the ball...nothing comes easy.

Seemed like Burns played limited minutes tonight. Was something wrong?

Burns was fine. In a bit of foul trouble. When Burns and three others picked up their second fouls in the first half we began a rotation including Shannon and Kramer, and did the same when he picked up his third. Drew with 13 points on the night with points scored in each quarter.

Trentman recorded the double-double, with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Alex closes with 40 of the Brossart 1,000 points club with 960 career points.

Wait? They called fouls on Brossart? I made the mistake of sitting behind Paris' bench. You'd think it was 8 on 5 according to them. LOL.

Another good team effort by the Mustangs. Paris had no answer for the tenacious defense and well executed offense of the Mustangs. Mr. Soccer-Jake Jennings, had another 6 assists in the game and 8 points. Hackworth 7 boards and 3 treys.

They look like a team on a mission.

Brossart appears to be ready to take this tourney and advance to Frankfort. Thought this one might be a little closer.

Might not be their only regional title this year. They've got the weapons to make a run in March.

Agree, believe they are closing in on MoCo for the #1 spot.

Have yet to see the Indians play this year. Only team in the 10th I've missed out on.

Any word yet on when they will have enough students to move out of A or realigned to the 9th?, lol,

Last I'd heard they were about 100 students shy of being too big, and as to realignment; check with the KHSAA.

I mentioned a few players and Mustang mentioned a couple more that are making this team so productive, but we failed to talk about the silent killer of the night (and most other nights ) Erik Rieger. He played his normal game. Seldom stuffing the stat sheets but does all of those things that a coach loves. Heady player that played fantastic D, did not get into foul trouble when the whislte was being blown liberally. took over the ball handling responsibilities when Jennings picked up an early second foul or needed a break. 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 boards and ZERO turnovers. Never came out of the game until it was under control. Great job "E" !

IMO, this is the best BB "team" in the past several years. They're 9 or 10 deep and have all the personnel pieces you need to be successful at a very high level: Size, defensive ability at all spots, shooting, ball handling (limited turn over opportunities), experienced players, and last but certainly not least, superior Coaching. To beat them you have to match their size and be athletic enough at every spot to guard them and create havoc. Not many, if any, Class A teams have these attributes nor do many larger schools. If they keep playing at this level they'll be a tough out in the 10th region and possibly Rupp.
