Hawkins from SK is going to be really good. He has been playing pretty good JV ball.

 

Phillip has not played any JV ball this year. He's improved tremendously by staying at the Varsity level.

Hawkins was likely to be cut this year had he stayed at Dixie (mainly because of how many juniors they already had)...goes to Cooper and has been a great addition to Coach Sully's squad.

 

I doubt he would have been cut. I can name several players whom he would have been ahead of.

These two teams seem to slug it out on a yearly basis. 41-40 probably wasn't good on the eyes.

I agree it wasn't the best performance by either team offensively but I'm sure Coach Sully is live with the way his team played defense in the second half. This team will have to win games on the defensive end which is what the Jags have done the past two seasons. Hope they keep progressing and if they have to win ugly so be it.

SK, over hyped as usual. These are games they should win at home. Beaten by tough, hard nosed defense. Holy Cross may be their only win over a 9th region team this season. Sad.

He played well. He always give 100%. Love his game. It was unfortunate at the end when he fouled McNeill from behind shooting a 3 with .5 seconds left in a tie game. Hopefully he has short term memory.
