No clue, that's what I was wondering as well. But with that same token, what reason do you have to hate him (probably as a player more so than as a person).

Don't know anything about him as a person, think he's hysterical when he's doing commercials or SNL. Can't stand him as a player, never have. Something about him makes me hope for the worst when he's playing. Part of it is most likely my love of the Patriots, although he's been almost an automatic win for NE the last 10-12 years. :idunno:

He's 5-5 against Pats in last 10 years in games against them in Reg season in Playoffs.

Never understood the disdain for Peyton. Guy has been about as good as anyone throughout his career, doesn't enter the news for the wrong reasons, etc.

Seems it's more jealousy than hate. :lol2:

I'm a Steelers fan. If I ever have to feel jealous of him that means I quit on football because he won six SBs in a row. I feel pretty secure that's not going to happen.

I genuinely despise the guy, while being deeply respectful and frightened by what he can do on the FB field.

That's fair, it's fine to "Hate" a rival or common opponent for your team. I hated Joe Montana and felt the same way you do about Manning, about him.

He's 4-10 career against Tom Brady.

Based on everything I've seen about the Manning family, they all seem like great people. I don't understand the hate either.

I'll guess its his love for the Patriots.

I however thoroughly enjoy watching Peyton Manning and will cheer for him all day, as long as they aren't playing the Bengals.

Why would Pats fans hate Peyton?

You must really hate Eli then...:lol2:

He's 4-10 career against Tom Brady.

Brady play much D?

What do you think Brady's record against Bilicheck would be if these QB's switched places?

Brady is a great QB but the difference in W's and L's here is Bilicheck is a MUCH better coach and game planner than just about anyone in the league.

I don't know, but let's not get carried away. It's not like Manning has been playing with incompetent coaches his whole career. Dungy and Fox are pretty dang good.

Manning gets all the credit for his team's successes, yet whenever anyone mentions Brady, all I hear is how they win because of BB and the defense. He deserves a large part of the credit, don't ya think?

I have felt Manning is the head coach of his teams. Apparently he runs team meetings and such. I can believe it.

While not all the criticism of Manning or Manning vs. Brady is fair, you can't deny that Peyton has had a lot of earlier exits for the amount of talent he exhibits. Again, not all his fault, but he does shoulder a lot of the blame.

And he rightfully should. He gets 100% of the credit when they win, why should he not get the blame for losses, especially considering his play significantly drops in the postseason, historically.
