I think I said that much earlier in this thread.

I also think the point was made earlier that you are correct, however your odds of fielding a good team are a lot better with more kids.

Back to the topic of 30 pitchers trying out.......that sounds like a D1 knothole team...every kid raising their hand when the coach asks who wants to pitch.

Its a shame they have to cut so many...I am sure some other high schools could use their arms.

 

Maybe they should send a couple of those 30 over to GAB and let Castellini get a look.

Nobody said Ryle had 30 pitchers trying out. They had 30 PITCHERS AND CATCHERS...22 Pitchers and 8 catchers. For 3 squads that equates to around 7 pitchers and 3 catchers per squad and I believe Coach Roesel found jobs for all but 3.

Was Lex Christian not able to compete last year? As a small school, they are obviously at a disadvantage correct? Oh wait... I forgot they were private. :D Just stirring the pot.
