November 23, 201312 yr What do you all think I should do. My Xbox was supposed to be delivered today via UPS. As of last night @2 am it was tagged as being in Louisville but delayed by weather. It didn't show up this morning so I called to see if I could pick it up in Louisville because I was going down there for the SK game. They said that unfortunately the package can't be redirected or picked up any where else because Microsoft made it a delivery only shipment which to an extent I get but this has been a really bad experience. I took off work for two days(today and tomorrow) with the promise that my box would be here. It's not and I've basically wasted my time as a result. If I call and complain do I do it with Microsoft or UPS. By they way they're now saying My Xbox won't be delivered until Monday morning...... It's still sitting somewhere in Louisville. I'm ticked, ticked, ticked.
November 23, 201312 yr Definitely unfortunate. And from what I've gathered on the Xbox forums from others having shipping issues I don't think Anthony will be done. I don't think Microsoft guaranteed it would be there yesterday, probably something g close but you may want to check. Also it's not Microsoft's problem that they delayed it in Louisville due to weather. A sucky situation by every standard but not sure there is anything you can do. Double check the shopping policy and see is they guaranteed it.
November 23, 201312 yr I mainly order through Amazon for this reason. They will guarantee a delivery by a certain date. Did you buy it directly from Microsoft? If so id check like Sv said if it is guaranteed. If it is I'd complain to Microsoft.
November 23, 201312 yr ^ If it's sitting at UPS, then I'd think Amazon wouldn't help much since Amazon's primary delivery is through UPS. Edited November 23, 201312 yr by Getslow

November 23, 201312 yr Author So I stayed up all night soaking. Late, late night. Pioneers lost, Xbox didn't come and I just felt like soaking. Woke up today and there was my Xbox. I wish I could be happy, I think I am, but UPS is on my short list right now. May still follow up with Microsoft, I suck at this type of stuff though.

November 25, 201312 yr ^ It may be a cover. I hear rumors that they're massively understaffed heading into the holidays because they're getting absolutely killed in seasonal hiring by Amazon. They're just not bringing people in.
November 25, 201312 yr Well just from looking at the thread your lucky it didn't turn into a more dire situation than this SF41. Talked to three or four people who's brand new XBOX 1 was faulty by the time they even got it out of the package. Couple of them would not even power on, a couple more were having issues with the disk drive. All will have to re send theirs to microsoft to be fixed. Hearing that the PS4 basically just has forums to trouble shoot from and that Sony will not even take the time to at least fix the mistakes like Microsoft. So pretty much if you're getting a new PS4 or XBOX 1 be ready for a little bit of disapointment and hassle. If you're one of the few who gets one in working condition, go buy a lottery ticket. Glad I decided to wait until next year to try to get a new system. Hopefully the bugs will be worked out by then.
November 25, 201312 yr I would never have a game console shipped to me anyway... If you've seen how packages are handled in a UPS/FedEx facility, you would never ship something like that... Go to the store, buy it there.
