Not to get sidetracked, but how did last years CCH/ Conner game mean any more last year than it did this year?

Last years game was huge in that Conner was in a 3 way tie at the time with Cooper and So. Oldham for the #1 seed in district. The win against CCH last year gave Conner the #2 seed and a home playoff game. IF they lost they were on the road every game in the playoffs. It was a huge win that meant a lot.

Just about as classy as numbers 30 and 11 cheap shotting players all night. Oh and number 30 taunting the CCH coaches. Give me a break.
I think what we have here is a high school kid who hasn't learned how to accept a loss with grace.

Highlands is a machine, no other way to say it. Coach W is the best D-coordinator in NKY and maybe KY. They will easily win their 7th state title in a row. Harris is a beast, and Feggins off night and all is a fantastic WR.

Having said that I know the CovCath team much better. This senior class is the best since the 2006 team. They were 8-2 as freshman, both losses to Highlands. The last 3 years when many of them either started or were big contributors they have a 29-10 record at the varsity level. Their only losses are to Highlands 6 times La Salle twice Moeller 1 time and Conner 1 time. They are great young men who have represented Covcath proudly both on and off the field. Thanks to everyone one of you for a great 4 years of Football! Continue doing everything in life with the passion and dedication you have shown these last four years!

I wasn't able to see or listen to the game but sounds like it was played with a lot of emotion as it should be. CCH is closing the gap a little each year.

Congrats Birds on another title.

I don't know that I disagree with the bolded sentiment above which others have indicated in various ways in messages on here but I am curious about the basis for it as the playoff score is exactly the same as last year (28-13--and the late game score by CCH could be argued as making this year's game slightly less competitive than last year) and the regular season game was much less competitive than the prior year. Is it because of the same results despite meaningful injuries to CCH personnel, that injuries to upperclassman this year led to more development of underclassmen for the next two years, optimism produced by the first CCH frosh win in the series in the last 10 years, encouragement of the new CCH youth football system in developing players, some combination of those or something more or other than that? Both schools will graduate much heralded (and, in my limited view, justifiably so) senior classes so perhaps the view is more of a fresh start next year than most.

Sorry for getting this out so late but with the Kesley Sorrell Tournament on Saturday and family duties on Sunday, it was the best I could do!

I think the talent levels for the next 3 classes are as even as they have been in a long time.
