November 19, 201312 yr When I was a kid my Mother made homemade goetta from scratch from my Grandmother's recipe. Everyone in the family ate it the exact same way with a fork, and as a breakfast meat with eggs. If I recall correctly, my dad broke tradition and put pickle relish on it. I always liked to melt cheese on it, and put it with my eggs on my toast drenched in butter. I absolutely loved it and still do. My family (typically the bossy big sisters, as I was the youngest) would always make a big deal of it and ask me what on earth was I doing. Just a kid I'd say "I don't know, it's good this way". I really didn't think that it was too weird. Fast forward so many years, now you have the exact sandwich served at various restaurants and Geotta Festivals experimenting with everything imaginable. I missed this year's where someone told me a booth served Goetta Brownies. That didn't sound too good to me, but was told that it was surprisingly good. Hmmm... together? I'd certainly try it. I do love goetta and I'm a brownie junkie. Together?
November 19, 201312 yr Dip fries or chicken nuggets in Wendy's frosty!! I could deal with the fries, and actually it doesn't sound half bad, but I'd have to say no to the nuggets.
November 20, 201312 yr Friend of mine puts mayo on her Jell-O. I do that. I really enjoy a peanut butter and onion sandwich.
November 20, 201312 yr It's a lot of work — but it puts a good BBQ over the edge — and that's the potato pak. Usually features some combination of sliced potatoes, onions, peppers of a wide variety and of varying heats, garlic, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, seasonings, and a lot of butter mixed up in a foil wrap (a deep foil pan can also be used for larger amounts). If you really want to get wild, you can put a layer of bacon in between the mix and the foil. Slow-cook it for a few hours, depending on the size of the pak. Flip it regularly, or stir if you're using a foil pan. Mmmm mmm good.
November 20, 201312 yr Dunno how weird it's considered but I like: Peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches Also Crumbled doritos and miracle whip sandwich
November 20, 201312 yr A Christmastime favorite at the relatives' in Iowa is to take a bag of frozen meatballs and drop 'em in a crockpot with a bunch of cream of mushroom soup. Yum.

November 20, 201312 yr I like just a buttered bun for my hamburgers...not really weird even though my family gave me some strange looks the first time they saw me doing this.
