Just know that the sign originated in the occult and has been integrated into society so much we don't even realize it and use it for other purposes. They may not intend for it to represent anything other than "hook em horns" but that's not where it originated and that was not it's initial purpose. I mean if you want to go with an example like that though look at DDP the wrestler and his "diamond cutter". He would flash the diamond sign. He may or may not have known what the sign represents and where it originated from. The thing with Jay-Z is he knew where it originated from, he knew the meaning. That's the difference. It wasn't like he just made it up one day himself and thought it was a good idea. He is very much into the occult and Crowley (like a lot of acts) and discovered the sign there. In one of the pictures above Jay is wearing a shirt from his clothing line with the Crowley teaching "Do As Thou Wilt", stemming from the Crowley teaching do as you will not as a God will's, you are your own god.
November 20, 201312 yr Thought of this thread last night while watching "The Voice". The show was kicked off with a medley of high energy songs performed by Christina Aguilera and her remaining team of contestant singers. She along with the other vocalists were seriously fierce with their delivery while she was done up with super dark goth eye makeup, and all decked out in black. They ended their performance with a snippet of Michael Jackson's "Bad", and then as a unified bunch they all stood in a serious stance with their arms crossed in some sort of symbolic fierceness. Personally, I thought that the usual Christina that you normally can't take your eyes off of because she is so shimmeringly beautiful never looked more horrid and creepy. I watch this show with as much interest as I do with reservation, as it's just dripping with fakeness that makes me cringe. The typical shots of Christina showing delicate passion is as much of an attraction as it is an "OMG you are so fake" turn off. Anybody feel me here on this?

The satanic bible is not what you think it is, it's not like the Holy Bible or Kuran. It is more less a manual or guide as to how to be a satanist and practice the rituals. It demonstrates the signs, symbols, rituals, etc. what they are used for and what their purpose is. A lot of the stuff written there comes from the Ancient mystery religions mostly from Egypt, Babylon, Sumeria, etc. These religions felt their monarchs were gods themselves and some speculate they had sacred knowledge or wisdom of the cosmos. But along with that it also incorporates things from the black arts or what we would consider witchcraft or black magic. The main thing is to be in direct opposition of Judaism/Christianity. To be an inversion of it (hence the upside down cross). All of this stuff has a purpose to them, a significance. Here is what he had to say..... "We are in control. My sole purpose was to at least try. I figured if I could get at least one or two people to see that this stuff is wrong and not good, or a couple of people to maybe change their perceptions on certain artists then I have done my job. I'm not trying to say the worlds about to end and its armagedon and we should all freak out. I'm not even trying to make a "big deal" out of it, the way most of you have suggested with your replies back to the thread. We are exposed to it, we are not supposed to be exposed to this type of stuff. However they insist to throw it in our face and I apologize for being the only one who cares. It's not a coincidence Christian values and morals are on the decline while this stuff is the latest trend or "fad". I'm sorry most of you all are cool with satanic/occultic hand signs being introduced into our culture under the disguise of something else. It's subliminally, in your sub conscious mind. I am almost finished with my psychology degree and I understand that effects my views and perception on the human brain. I realize most people don't think of it the same way. With that said your conscious and subconscious mind are two very powerful things and very important in shaping the person you really are. What happens in your subconscious effects you on every level, you just don't know it's happening. You can't see it, it's in your subconscious. That is why you have weird dreams sometimes, it is acting out some of your subconscious thoughts.

People like this — I'm thinking Miley Cyrus and Lady GaGa types here — have closets bigger than my house. It's highly possible that they're just like anybody else and might play around with different looks just for fun, or depending on the event they were going to. I was far more likely to wear my combat boots at a punk or hard rock show than if I was going to see some chick singer-songwriter. If you lived in Oregon and started googling images of Alabama football fans, you might think that there's nothing but Alabama stuff in their closet and every single word out of their mouth was Tide-related (I realize some are like this, but bear with me). The point being, that may just be their Saturday gear, and the rest of the time they're in a suit and tie. You may not be getting the full picture from a few cherry-picked images some conspiracy website spat back at you. Just to go along with this..... If wearing satanic and occultic imagery is "just for fun" or "just to complete a certain look", isn't that just as bad as being down for it? I mean besides being a poser thats bad enough, but if they really aren't about it but insist to act like they are isn't that just as bad? Pretending to be down with something like that? Until your post #113 (ironic) I was going to ask you what your end game was with this thread. I still don't completely get what you were going for, but at least I have a better idea. Then, when you mentioned you were about to finish your degree (congrats, by the way) in psychology, the "why" made a little more sense. We've all been at that point when you are finishing your degree, you're excited, you feel full of knowledge, and you want to show people how much you know. All good stuff. However (you knew it was coming), the thing that frightens me far more than Jay-Z holding his hands in some symbolic way, is the depth of your knowledge on this subject. You have referenced more things / creatures / evils / terms in this thread that I've never heard of than any other thread in the history of BGP by a factor of 10. To be concerned about Satanic influences permeating out of Hollywood and their impact on the Christian values of families and society is noble and honorable (albeit a smidge conspiracy based). However, to have the depth of knowledge that you have on the subject, this thread almost reads like you prophesizing for them. That, far more than anything else you've shared, is what worries me a little. Someone (PepRock maybe, or GetSlow) referred to this subject as a wormhole of sorts...and you've either been sucked into it, or, gone diving into it willingly.
