Occultism in Entertainment/Media

I mean this as nicely as possible, but what did you expect? That the majority here were going to agree a nefarious cabal of satanists and warlocks are subliminally controlling popular artists and unraveling society because a freak like ke$ha (is that the proper spelling? I don't know) had a pentagram in a music video? You keep telling everyone to listen to you or hear you out or to trust you, but there's not much in the way of evidence here.

If you all can't see it then oh well so what, at least I tried. What you all don't understand is it's not like they are trying to draw attention to it or come out and say hey look at me, look at this sign or symbol. The point is not that many people are supposed to know what it means, or not that many people out there can spot the subtle hints. That's why they do it, people don't even know what they're looking at. The more people start noticing the more they try to hide these things. It's not something they are trying to draw 100% of the populations attention to, it's things most people would not even recognize. So to say there is little evidence that any of these mega stars are doing this means that perhaps you're not sure what to look for? Or what it means? So since you don't know what it is, what to look for, or even what it means, it must not exist simply because I don't understand it. That's America's rationale in today's society, if I don't understand something it must not be right.

But you're right, there are some. But still you're missing my point. We're talking about a pair of gloves here, a pair of gloves made to represent a school or mascot. What I am saying is a sign such as Jay-Z's originated from within the occult and has been around for thousands of years. Even though people make the same symbol it doesn't always mean they had the same intentions as the occultists because obviously they don't. What I am saying is people do use it for that intention and purpose and that is where it "originated from".

....

B-Ball-Fan....jinx! :jump:

Wow MentschTrachtGottLacht! ... Are we on the same page at the exact same moment or what? That in itself is fuurrreeeeaky.

What you showed are ads for the gloves. In most cases the players do not interlock. They do exactly what Ingram is doing. In fact before the gloves even came onto the scene players would make the same sign as Jay-Z. It is like during the late 80s early 90s when players use to do the Q-Dog thing. I get your point though I think it gets scattered a little here and there. My point is that sometimes a hand sign is a hand sign and an owl is an owl. How does one know that the occult didn't take a sign, symbol or whatever from some place else and gave it a new meaning? How does one know that is where any, all, or even some of it originated from?

Dolamite... At the risk of powerful suggestion, I sincerely hope without any sarcastic intent that your intense knowledge of this subject matter does not make you inadvertently teeter or succumb to being possessed in any ill fashioned way by delving too deeply into all of this.

I feel you and your passionate concern to pass along the information, and am thankful for your efforts as you have devoted a lot of time and energy towards it, and I'm sure that I'm not alone in thinking that your work is complete.

Just as a truly concerned suggestion, if I may, fill your next few days with nonstop positive images and songs about love, peace, joy, happiness, and uplifting spiritual beauty.

I promise you that I'm not presenting myself to you with a messiah complex as I'm forever questioning my thoughts, beliefs, disbeliefs, attractions, distractions, hopes, desires, and an undying quest for an understanding of the spiritual.

Just off the top of my head here's a beautifully penned Dylan tune covered by the ever Christian band "16 Horsepower" to get you started. If I think of more, I'll gladly offer them to you. Being the OCD guy that I am, don't be too surprised that I'll follow through with more as they hit me.

Look you don't have to worry about me, the reason I even did this was because of my Christian faith. I'm not going to lie, theres been times where I have tested my faith and studied a lot of this stuff. None of it ever got to me or broke me though, my faith has remained strong and just over the last couple of months I have been more strong in my faith than ever before. I read my Bible almost every day, and I am constantly trying to learn new things. For some reason I have been pushed a lot lately to stick up for Christianity and what is right and thus my reasoning for this thread. For some reason I felt as if I was urged to call some of this stuff out and try to tell people it's not good.

As for positive energies, that is what I'm all about. Anybody know knows me personally can attest to that. I'm in a good mood 99%, friendly, (sometimes over friendly), and always trying to do good deeds for others. I try to have positive thoughts as in my opinion negativity breeds negativity and positivity breeds positivity. I hate that the fact I have posted all of this stuff makes me come off as dark and negative. That's not the case, I am just trying to expose some of this stuff for what it is, not of God.

1.) Yes I agree and have said so numerous times. I admit a lot of times people use this stuff for other purposes. My point was a lot of celebs use it for occult purposes, the general population is unaware and uses the signs for other purposes not related to occult. I have never once said just because you flash a certain sign or wear a certain thing that makes you an occultist. I even said that I personally have used some of these signs myself and I'm obviously not an occultist. My point the entire time is this stuff is prevelant in hollywood and they mean it for dark purposes a lot of times. Also even if people use it for other purposes they are still ignorant to the fact of what the true meaning is and where it originated from. My thing is I am trying to show people this that way maybe next time they might have second thoughts about flashing some of this stuff until they read its history.

2.) Because it is written, they tell you where it comes from. Like I said, most of the stuff comes from Egyptian/Babylonian/Sumerian mythology as well as from the Black Arts, Dark Arts, Black Magic, Sacred Geometry, etc. Stuff that's been around thousands of years and things very few people have knowledge of.

But who wrote it? The occultist? How reliable of a source would those people be? I mean you can find people that say Jesus was white but that doesn't make it so.

However, to have the depth of knowledge that you have on the subject, this thread almost reads like you prophesizing for them. That, far more than anything else you've shared, is what worries me a little.

Take care of yourself, and again, congrats on the Psych Degree, I hope that helps you accomplish everything in life you've hoped and dreamt for. Good luck!

Again, I started reading and researching all of this because of a couple of the bands I was heavy into. They all used strange symbols and signage in their album art, posters, etc. I wanted to know what it all meant and what it represented so that started my curiosity. I am always trying to learn about new things, even if its something I don't agree with. I feel I have strong enough faith that I can be shielded from this while I learn a little more about it. I try to understand things even if I don't agree with them, I at least try to see where they are coming from or what kind of views they have. In order to achieve knowledge you must first be willing to open your mind to things you may not agree with in order to understand it. That was the case with me, I was interested in it enough to research, but not enough to practice and wear the symbols and rock the imagery. I just wanted to learn about it, not be a part of it. I have also had numerous religion classes in college, just because I am interested in the religions of the world and how they all differ. I like looking at the similarities/differences, and why these religions developed the way they did. The occult stuff is no different. To me it's no different than studying Zoroastrianism, Daoism, Islam, or any of the other religions around the world. In fact, one common thing most people fail to realize is how similar Islam is to Judaism/Christianity in terms of fundamental beliefs and principles. I am of the belief it is the same God represented in both religions and it is even explained in the Bible. The Bible talks of Ischmel and Hagar in the desert and Hagar is crying because she fears her son is about to die. Ischmel of course the first son of Abraham. God tells her by way of angels not to worry that Ischmel shall be alright and have his own nation under God. This is Islam, Issac, Abrahams other son is Judaism. So you see my fascination is of all religion, not just the dark occult stuff. Again I hate that this is the picture that got painted of myself, but to me the dark satanic stuff is no different than any other religion. I just don't like the fact that it goes out of it's way to be against God. Instead of being afraid of it like most people though, I trust my strength in God enough to at least peel the door open a little and see what it is that makes them feel the way they do about their religion. The same as any religion outside of Christianity, I like learning why they think and practice the way they do. Like the great Christian philosopher St. Augustine said, in the words of God you must be as shrewd as a serpent, in other words you must be as smart as the devil in order to fight against him. You must know his tactics.

Secondly thanks for the congrats on the degree! I am currently going to a VA school and sadly lost around 40 hours when I transferred from a KY school. If not for that I would already be done with likely two or three degrees. I will have over 130 hours after this semester and thats not counting the 30-40 or so I lost. In the end I hope to end up with a couple of different degrees, likely Psych, History, and General Studies (since I have changed my major a couple of times). I am close enough to get all three within the next few semesters, but can get one of them likely after the spring. I am going to try to knock out whatever one I can first because I am currently working full time for Kelloggs and will be able to get a promotion as soon as I finish a degree. From there I will try to finish the others.

Right, but what you fail to understand is this knowledge has been passed down for thousands of years. In otherwords they just didn't make it all up because it sounded good. Much like Christians believe the Holy Bible is the word of God, satanists believe the satanic bible is the true way to live for what you would call the dark side (although they don't really look at it that way).

I feel ya man and understand better now why you're presenting your concerns. I can also identify with you working on your studies and being filled to the brim with this info, and the need to spill it. It's all good. I've never had a perspective that you were a dark dude so please don't think that you came off that way. It's a good day to be alive and I feel that you feel that way as well. Peace.

I can't help what the players do, but obviously the gloves were made to be interlocked or else they wouldn't be marketed that way. And again, none of these players are intending to throw occult signage they are intending it for something else. The way I see it the discussion about the gloves is irrelevant because your showing off the gloves and the logo on the gloves not exactly the gesture with the hands. In occult rituals its all about the signs you make with the hands, there are no gloves, there are no logos. Two totally different purposes.

Exactly! :thumb:

Each and every day we are alive on this earth is a blessing and that's what I want more people to realize. It shouldn't be about the money, the power, the fame, all that. It shouldn't be about that at all. But society has molded us into a bunch of greedy narcisists that only care about ourselves and will try to get to the top no matter who you knock out of the way. I just wish more people could wake up and realize what they need to start living their life for and what not. All these material things mean nothing, all of this fame or prestige means nothing. People just need to be themselves and appreciate each wonderful thing that happens in their life.

And again for those who feel Jay-Z's innocent and incapable of doing any wrong whatsoever.

Here you have one of the most significant symbols of the church of satan. If you pay attention above the 666 lettering at the bottom and read what it says, it is the Crowley "Do what thou wilt" quote. In the second picture is again Jay-Z wearing his own clothing lines version of the phrase. So like I have said a couple of times, even if he's really not down like that, isn't it just as bad to be a poser or think its cool to use this phrase knowing where it comes from and what it means to those who cherish it? If he really has no bad intentions isn't it just as bad he would even wear it?

In that respect, you're not wrong. Certainly in the eyes of those who follow most faiths around the world and in the eyes of those whose philosophy is aligned with some form of secular humanism, the concept of "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" is pretty perverse. It speaks to a self-indulgence that is not only harmful to the individual but the people around them.
