As for country, or new/pop country (as I refer to it) I think that's part of the reason I don't like it. It's just way to simple and I feel that it almost all sounds the same. Once you've heard one new country song you've heard them all IMO.

 

Rap and hip hop have gone the same way lately. How many freaking songs can be made about going to the club/partying or pimping/scoring with women? Even if you do not like Marshall Mother's you have to respect that he puts some originality into the stories his music tells. He is the exception.

Yeah a lot of people throw it up, I used to throw it up myself. Everybody throws it these days, everyone also thinks that either a DDP Diamond Cutter is about to happen to somebody or they are just repping "Tha Roc", or the "Dynasty". It's kind of ironic I think. Even if 99% of the people throwing it do not realize that it could have any other meaning/purpose/origin it's still kind of sad that they have no clue about it's history or significance to those in occult circles. Yeah hip-hop and rap is in a bad spot right now. So much garabge on the airwaves now. If all the club/party/making it rain/popping bands/etc. stuff wasn't on full overload they had to go and auto tune everything (thanks T Lame). Not to mention the fact they had to go out and start rocking skinny jeans and the most ridiculous of apparel. Nothing worst than a skinny jean wearing fake g, just a bunch of sell outs these days faking it until they make it. Not a lot of substance or realness in hip hop right now and that's depressing. At least there's been a recent push to try and make it better and for rappers to step their game up.

He still does some occultic stuff, even down to his Roca Wear designs. The notion that "the devil is a lie" is not a surprising remark coming from an occultist or even a satanist because they do not necessarily believe in heaven or hell or even God/Satan. Their belief is that we are our own gods and we can determine our own path. A lot of Jay-Z's views are on life/religion/spirit are the same as Alistair Crowley in which Jay-Z has obviously taken a lot of influence from.

I haven't really wanted to get pulled back into this thread because I exerted so much energy on it before and for the most part was just mocked and ridiculed as my words/message continues to get twisted into things I didn't even mean or say.

 

However, one thing I did touch on was the notion that some of these artists may "sell their soul" for fame or in essence allow Demons to possess them and give them talents. Far fetched I know but I have read a lot on the subject. I have read that often times they use a channeler (much like in black magic or witchcraft) to channel the demons and allow them to possess the individual giving themselves to them. Again sounds crazy, but I have read numerous stories of artists going mad because they claim to have voices in their head (demons). Jim Morrison is the biggest example I can think of, but artists from Sinatra (who Jay Z states he is the modern day version) all the way down to Eminem and Nikki Minaj have suggested this. How can one get voices in their head? I mean it's never happened to me. However, after reading about exorcism and demonic possession It is clear that demonic voices are common in possession.

So with that said it is the perfect time to post this (well as good of time as any I guess since I wasn't going to post it unless the thread fired back up)....

 

But this is Em and Rhi-Rhi's new song, alludes to some of these things. May just be all for show and all for song, but if you look it it from the possessed and demonic aspect of it it kind of makes a little sense. I heard this the day Shade45 premiered it (after this thread had already started) and I just smiled and thought wow good timing.

Just one section with the chorus, there's a lot of stuff in there you can take certain ways if you wanted to. I realize it's likely nothing but in regards to this thread and the discussion I do find it worthy to discuss.

Which brings me to a point of alter ego's, a lot of celebs have them. However, do you know of any normal average citizens or co-workers who claim alter-ego's? I mean what is that? Is it really just imaginery and for fun or are they just giving credit to something else? Keep in mind most of the alter-ego's are very different than the personality of the artists themselves.

And one last thing I have found interesting since I've saw it. Doesn't look to be faked as it is a dude who just recorded the video with his phone recording the tv. It also shows him pulling it up on the DVR so it came from the actual broadcast. He brings up the point it may be contacts, but if so where did the contacts go and when and how did he take them out that quick? Kind of creepy stuff really if you think about it in the context of what I am saying about this stuff.....

I don't know... a normal dude with an alter-ego doesn't seem all that necessary. That said, I have a friend who used to go around telling people his name was Chip Saunders (it wasn't), that he owned a bar called Skeeter's (he didn't), and that his greatest achievement in life was that he owned a boat and "not one but two jetskis" (he doesn't). He did it just because he thought it was funny to tell people to go to his bar and give them non-specific directions to a place that didn't exist.

 

Heck, I have two personalities on this site alone. There's normal, affable Getslow who posts basketball game updates and Christmas songs... then there's the embittered grump who hates Randy Parker.
