.....

So Manual v. Trinity is #4 vs #4. Hmm...that is pretty good in week 2, huh?

Male and St. Xavier is #6 vs #7.

Simon Kenton and Dixie is #8 vs. #15.

Johnson Central and CovCath is #9 vs. #11.

Four AWESOME games this weekend. Also means four of the top 15 will be out in week 2....good stuff.

Good points.

It is a shame some of the better teams are not a little more spread out.

A few teams complained (especially in 6A) so they changed it and now Louisville 6A schools can't meet in the state championship game. Does it make it better overall? Depends on who you like.

Everyone always complained about two Louisville teams in the finals, but geographically the dividing line based on where the schools are located really does go through Louisville.

I just think it is a bummer that they put the 4 power schools in Louisville in the same district.

It is a joke that you have to leave your starters in and run up the score just to maintain your ranking in the computer polls. Last week Caldwell County was a 70 point favorite in the Litkenhous rankings, and 50 point favorite by Cantrell. As soon as the Tigers get the clock running, Coach Barnes pulls all of the starters. He has not ran up the score on anybody all year long, and he could have, and the overall rankings have punished them. Yes, they are #1 in 2A, but they could compete and beat quite a few of the teams in this top 25, IMHO.

So after SK beats Dixie again they should be ranked 2 or 3?

How do they do that with the rotation of the 'Super District'?

Does it only 'rotate' against half of the 6A districts?

I think Cantrall lives in Colorado cause he's smoking some serious stuff when doing his rankings....

BG is a 3.4 point favorite on Manual....BG was up 35-7 at half against them...off by God knows how much had they played a full game

BG is a 5.2 point favorite against X....BG actually beat them by 14...off by 8.6 from the actual score

BG is a 7.3 point favorite against Lex Cath....BG actually beat them by 27...off by 19.7 from the actual score

BG is a 12.5 point favorite against Warren Central...BG actually beat them by 34...off by 21.5 from the actual score

He ranked a Highlands team that gave up the most yardage in the HISTORY of KY to Warren Central and beat them 71-69 over a BG team that beat that same Central team 48-14?

Somehow Scott Co. and their rampage through the orphanages of Lexington is held in higher regard than BG's similar rampage through the best KY has to offer AND the best TN has to offer.

So, I'll pencil East Raider in as a "disagree".

Lol! Right!

Bluegrass, not sure I understand completely, but let me try. I believe the Super District now plays District 5 (with PRP, Ballard and a few other Louisville 6A schools) and if all 4 Super District teams win like this year, its just a continuation of the regular season with much more on the line. How likely is that to continue to happen - Highly.

On the second part, I don't think this playoff schedule rotates, but I could be wrong but dont think so.

Still laughing at East Raider!

The 6A does rotate every year so that T and X can not play in the finals every year. Like it, or not, that is what happens. The chart linked below shows that is the only class in the state that does that.

Thanks for clearing that up RAM!

No, it means that when Dixie wins....they're top 5!!!
