November 11, 201312 yr How crazy is it that not only is Duke looking likely to play in the ACC title game, but they'll actually be a solid (possibly ranked) opponent for Florida State?
November 11, 201312 yr Agreed. I've got the Canes losing to Duke this weekend. Maybe even Pittsburgh to end the season. Which is a shame. I was reeeeeally looking forward to seeing FSU beat them twice.
November 11, 201312 yr How crazy is it that not only is Duke looking likely to play in the ACC title game, but they'll actually be a solid (possibly ranked) opponent for Florida State? I was wondering the exact same thing last night. :thumb:
November 11, 201312 yr If Duke is in ACC Title game, then how low is the ACC. That to me is the equivelent of KY being in the SEC title game.
November 11, 201312 yr The Buckeyes haven't done anything, in and of themselves, to merit dropping. On that we agree. But Florida State has done something(s) to merit raising them to #2. What I'm saying is that the #2 spot has more to do with Florida State than it does Ohio State. If we take pre-season rankings off the table & just looked at the results for both teams thus far...AND if we don't know what two teams we're looking at...I think the resume of FSU is clearly superior to that of OSU. I realize what you are saying, I just disagree. You make some good points and I certainly respect them. I think that OSU should be 2nd, I think they are that good. As I said earlier, imo too many people put too much emphasis on the conferences. Do I know that OSU would beat FSU ? No I don't but I don't know if FSU would beat OSU either. They may or may not. One thing is that next season there shouldn't be this argument with the four team playoff. Well, that's too much to ask for :lol2:, just then it would be the argument over 4 and 5.

November 11, 201312 yr That to me is the equivelent of KY being in the SEC title game. I wouldn't go that far. :lol2:
November 11, 201312 yr Have you watched Duke play this season? I don't see it much different than if Missouri was in the SEC title game....Oh wait.... no I havent seen dUKe play this year. But we are talking about dUKe, you know.
November 11, 201312 yr no I havent seen dUKe play this year. But we are talking about dUKe, you know. I've seen a handful of their games. They're solid. Not top 15 good, but I think they have a legit case for a place in the top 25.
November 11, 201312 yr I'm still having trouble getting past Stanford in everyone's top 5. They lost to Utah, sorry but that loss only should keep them out with what everyone else is doing.
November 11, 201312 yr If Duke is in ACC Title game, then how low is the ACC. That to me is the equivelent of KY being in the SEC title game. Naw, Duke actually went out and hired a guy who has experience as a head coach in the SEC, experience with developing quarterbacks and experience around some of the best quarterbacks to ever play. Duke also has invested time and concern with their football program in a mannner to bring some success. Not to mention that Duke would beat UK in football by 14+ points this season. And yes, the ACC is not a quality conference from top to bottom by any stretch of the imagination but Clemson did beat Georgia. A full strength Georgia. Just saying.....
November 11, 201312 yr Come on PP92, I actually try to make some sense and get no love. hahahahaha I guess I better go back to the politics and controversy forum, hahaha SEC is down, but so is everyone else to that extent. I do think everyone is down this year.

I dont disagree with you, a top 25 team maybe, at least deserving of the ranking. I guess you take a bunch of guys with 35 on the ACT and you get a good smart team.
