What if her reason was that she practices numerology and doesn't like the number combination (whether that's 666 or something else)? I'm guessing the rush to defend her by some would be not so quick, and in fact would be the other way around — more like UKMF's comments. Yep, last year she ran a 33 at regions. She did not fall "just short"....

Her fastest time this year was ~ 5 minutes off the qualifying time. Article should read, "Girl creates drama from quitting a race she wouldn't have advanced in".
