Nice win, Raceland could be a tough out in the playoffs

What a night for Raceland, only the third ever meeting between these two teams. Both previous games ended with a Ram loss. 1950 and 1966. Raceland won for the first time over Ironton, won their 500 game and shut out a team that does not get shut out very often. Plus, got some momentum heading into the play offs.

 

The Raceland offensive/defensive line really dominated Ironton's big line. This was a HUGE test for the Raceland linemen. The Coal Grove Ohio and Ironton Ohio lines were the best that Raceland has played against and they dominated both of them.

 

Ironton had a great game play to take away Raceland Runningback Daylin Beach, but with the offensive line performance, Raceland was able to use the other running backs and still get a similar result.

 

Great team effort by the Rams. Ironton was physical and big, the Rams stepped up and did what was needed. Just what they needed going into the playoffs.
