November 11, 201312 yr Dalton 2 for 17 on passes 10 yards or farther down the field yesterday. The only two were to AJ Green. One was a terrible under throw. The other was a Hail Mary that some would argue was an under throw b/c he didn't get it to the end zone.

The other was a Hail Mary that some would argue was an under throw b/c he didn't get it to the end zone. Well I do think we can say his arm strength is a little stronger than what is said on here. The Bengals were on their own 45 and throwing into the wind and had a guy in his face and the ball still made it to the goal line in the air which is 55 yards. So most likely the guy can throw 60 yards in the air if there was no wind, which is not bad. However the problem comes down to he is not accurate with it, and that can go back to him having to put all he can into it to get it that far. Which as you know I am came around to agree with you basically now on Dalton, because he hasn't shown that improvement yet. (Also he plays better when I start agreeing with you haha.)

Heck, even Luck sucked Sunday since he lost 38-8 at home to a team under .500 and he threw 3 picks. Of course no one will say he sucks. Bottom line is if the O-line on any team gives the QB time and the WR's do their part by getting separation then the QB will play good if they are worth anything at all. I think Dalton can do the job when those around him do their job. He did suck Sunday but it happens to even the best.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

Actually he's played very well in 5 games with QBRs at or above 100 and 80's in two other games. That's more than finding a nut. He's had 3 real clunkers to go with those games so consistency is obviously the problem but he's playing above average in more than two out of three games on average. Not what we want but we could do worse.

The problem with Andy besides his down-field inaccuracy is he is way too inconsistent and still has yet to be one to lead the team in crunch time very successfully. He just isn't very good. He isn't one that you can depend on to lead the team to the promised land.
