November 18, 201312 yr I am with Paul Daugherty who tweeted, in 25 years here I am not sure how good/bad Dalton is. He is a very average QB at best right now. Hopefully that will one day change and get better, but after 3 years he has not. He always struggles badly against good defenses, and in kind of weather elements. Dalton has shown he needs basically needs ideal conditions, and an average to bad defense to go against. When he goes against average to bad defenses he does play really well.
November 18, 201312 yr Ok, feel better? I'm still trying to decide if you're more miserable when he plays well or when he stinks it up. If you only choose to read some of my posts on this subject instead of all of them and continue to pick and choose when you want to read them then I could see why you would say this. The fact that in the 3 week span that the spirit of Otto Graham invaded Andy Daltons body you would see I praised him and was very VERY happy then. What gets me confused is when people who still after 3 years still doesn't know what kind of QB Daltonn is. Just like Daugherty. We know who Dalton is, the same bad QB he has always been. It woould be one thing if he had 1 bad game mixed in with 5 good games, but the fact of the matter is it is closer to 1 good game mixed in with 5 bad games. Dalton still can't hit the wide open receiver down field and still has no zip on his ball, so much so that his 2nd int yesterday I could of drove from my house yesterday and went to the stadium and picked that pass of before the play was over. The sad thing is, those 2 Int's weren't even deep throws, they were intermediate passes that still had no zip or accuracy on them that made it so easy to step in front of and pick off. The worst thing the Bengals can do is extend his contract after this season. Give me Johnny football (even tthough I can't stand him as a person, but he's already better than Andy Dalton and he hasn't even suited up in the NFL yet.) Before anyone tries to defend Dalton yesteday the only thing you need to keep in mind is Dalton avg'd 3 yards an attempt yesterday. that is sad, bad and well Anndy Dalton. I think he has already had 6 games where his rating has been below 82, several of them in the 50''s. Not good His last 2 games his compl% has been in the 40's.
