This is why I think many analysts are guilty of this, and I really don't think McCarver is any worse than other in this respect. Again, part of may be because I spent my early years watching McCarver play, and then a few years listening to him on Phillies broadcasts, but I liked the guy.

I understand that, but it seemed like when he says things like this, he was always so serious about it...like it was truly an enlightening moment.
