The game is a Beechwood home game, so where Newport is playing is irrelevant. As far as ND & Brossart playing on Friday, all I can say...........NewCath held to a higher standard. :lol2:

Some reason I was thinking it was a NCC home game, so no clue why this game was moved.

NCC has no school on Friday but that has not affected the other catholic schools.

The All Saints Day is something NCC has applied to itself

This game been scheduled at Beechwood since day one, Beechwood played at Newport last year, they alternate years. Holy Cross and Brossart are also off of school Friday for All Saints Day, as are all Catholic schools within the Covington Dioceses.

Always a tough game for both sides, and is still an intense rivalry despite the difference in class. One thing you know if you watched this rivalry over the years; it doesn't matter if BW or NCC are down, the game more than likely will still be close, and the result very easily could shock someone. I'm hoping NCC can pull this one out, but won't be surprised either way. I wish it wasn't a Saturday afternoon game though.. It's more intense as a night game in my opinion.

2010 comes to mind when you talk about throw out the records. We'll see how the past two to three games have allowed the OLine to gel. NewCath will need to put together some consistent drives. Defensively, it is a great chance to play against a good, soon to be great, QB.

B/c their opponents are. Obviously it was discussed during scheduling. Otherwise, NewCath could have used their bye week to cover it and Beechwood would have scheduled someone else. Both sides appear cool w/ it.

 

So, your answer is simple, it's extortion. Either give into what we want or we don't play. Sounds really mature. Sounds like it really wasn't a choice for Beechwood. As a result, it will likely be one of the lowest attended Beechwood vs NewCath games in history.

This is a Home Game for Beechwood. Last year NCC hosted on the usual Saturday Night at Newport.

Whatever the reason for a Saturday afternoon game, who cares. Lets stay on topic and discuss who wins and why.

And Beechwood's field should be wide open on Friday night. Plus, the All Saints Day factor isn't a problem for the other Catholic Schools. So why play on Saturday afternoon?

You seem to have a real problem with this. I don't think "extortion" is inviolved. Could it be the schools just have a great relationship and try to accomodate each other when asked? Lighten up.
