Johnson Central looks unstoppable in their district. The only team that stands a chance of stopping the Golden Eagles are the Tomcats.

Who wins, and why?

Ashland 21-14.

What has Ashland improved on, to beat JC, after getting beaten by 2A NCC 37-26, in what most of us in NKy think of, as a down year for NCC with a current record of 4-4!

They had a lot of new starters at the start of the season. Basically, they had Baker when they played NCC. They have developed a few more ball carriers to give them a good change up. The new QB this season has developed nicely and give a nice dimension now. The last several weeks they have beat down teams by small margins of victory, many may think that is lackluster, but they were working on their passing game, which they didn't have much of when they played NCC. Their defense has gotten better, probably still needs some work, but has improved.

Johnson Central is just too much for Ashland.

This JC team as I said reminds me of the 08 team, thus said 40 points will be on that score board quick. Ashland will take 2nd place in the district.

JC by a lot.

Ashland has a solid team but they really have not been overly impressive this season. I'd like to see them pull off the upset but JC is simply much better this year.

You can't ever count an Ashland team out, but I think JC will be too much for the Tomcats.

They could use some 5th year seniors thats for sure. Wait, thats college rules my bad.

I will be pulling for the Tomcats but I think that JCHS has too much.

Well, not everywhere :D . Trust me, there is a local school that has / had at least one along with some walk on's. :sssh: :bag:

JC will kick a 60 yarder at the horn straight down the middle of the goal post only to be ruled too high and no good by the officials. Ashland wins 35-34! ?

And over 5 later JC fans are still crying over a missed FG.

JC needs to make a statement here if they expect to go on to meet HHS. There is something about continuing to win and do it convincingly for high school players. If they win big tonight, the critics may tell them they can't play with HHS but you will not be able to convince the JC players of that . That is what makes playoff time so special, because usually every year some team who is not supposed to be legit, shows up anyway.
