I'm heading to a concert at Bogart's tonight and I don't venture across the river very often if it doesn't involve work or The Banks. Any good burger or sandwich places to eat near there? Maybe walking distance from the venue?

There is a Keystone that is up in U Square that is really good. There is a Which Wich that makes sandwiches on down Short Vine. Not a lot of good places to eat right around Bogarts.

Not the best area in the city at night. Was up there for a show when there was a stabbing outside. Luckily it happened during the show, so most people didn't know about it until the next morning, but haven't been back since. Be safe.

Best bet would be on Calhoun, which is where one of my jobs is located.

Chase Rice.

 

I doubt most people have heard of him, but he's a country singer. I found some of his music about a year ago and Groupon let me know he was coming. Was able to get tickets for really cheap, so I figured why not.

Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea that there was a Which Wich around here. Had it while I was in Oklahoma.

There are now a ton of places. or go to end of that street and come back the other one way street and a bunch of great places. There is an Asian joint and a Gyro place across from each other. Both are great.

Martino's. Order a half of a sub and you'll be stuffed.

I saw Rob Zombie at Bogarts. Someone more familiar with the area than I told me "pay to park" and don't linger after.

 

Thought that was pretty sound advice after my experience there.

Good deal I never stick around after a show at Bogarts. I've been a few times but

I'm not a real big fan of the place.

Chase Rice doesn't sound bad I listened to some of his stuff after hearing you were

going to see him.

I didn't know Bogart's was still around. My son went to a couple of shows up there; maybe 16 or 18 years ago.

You should still go to Martino's on Short Vine for lunch -- make Gametime take you there. He seems like: a) a generous guy; b) a guy familiar with UC who probably also loves Martino's.

Used to love going to Bogart's for shows. Haven't been in probably 8 or 9 years. I was definitely still in college on my last trip up there.
