October 1, 201313 yr Let me preface by saying I understand their consistently losing ways, bad front office and lack of QB. BUT....... Even with everything that's happened this season they have played fairly well. Their defense is definitely the best asset but it seems as if with the return of Josh Gordon he has helped the offense. Yeah they may or may not win more games but they have played games a lot more competitively than in the past. I think it's time to stop referring to them as worst of the worst because they will compete this year.
October 1, 201313 yr .................... I readily admit isn't an opinon founded in logic or actual information, but I will always LOATHE the Browns and will wish upon them losses upon losses.
October 1, 201313 yr Here is the one area I envy the Browns. They try to improve. They go after GM's to try and change the losing ways. When something doesn't work they do t sit still and try to wait until it magically changes (like a certain owner here in cincinnati ) They are always looking to improve Other than that not a fan of the team.

October 1, 201313 yr I think the drafting a guy with the #3 pick and trading him to a team who should make the playoffs for their first round pick a year and a couple games later kinda gets those emotions stirred. I don't think they'll be able to keep up what they've been doing so far. Haden is great. Mingo is promising. Joe Thomas is good. Jordan Cameron is going to have a breakout year, but I don't know if he can sustain the pace he's on. Give teams some more time to break down film of Hoyer and you'll probably see some regression. Not sold on Josh Gordon, Devone Bess, and Greg Little as a trio of wideouts. Willis McGahee has no tread left. I look at their record so far and think their overrated. Game 1: Cleveland was been beaten by two TDs by a Dolphins team that's good, but hasn't really proven themselves. Yes, the Dolphins beat the Colts, but that same Colts team also barely squeaked by the Raiders the week before. The Dolphins have beaten the Falcons, but the Falcons' best football of the season is definitely ahead of them, and Steven Jackson and Roddy White have been banged up so far. The best team the Dolphins have played, the Saints, spanked them in a primetime game. Game 2: I'm not sold on the Ravens, who had an ugly 14-6 win over them. Baltimore has some problems finding players capable of replacing much of the defensive talent they lost. Game 3: I'm not sold on the Vikings win past it being two bad teams playing. I think of the Vikings as a team who'll be competitive because of Peterson, but have to win in spite of their QB play. Game 4: I think the Bengals win was a fluke. I can see Haden being able to control AJ Green (7 catches for 51 yards) to the point that they were able to hang around and win, but I think that's going to be the biggest win of their year, and it probably won't be close. Cleveland plays in a division that's obviously down, so they might have a decent enough year, but it will only be a decent year by Cleveland standards, not anyone else's.

Talk about not wanting to give any credit. You're not sold on the Dolphins, but yet you're sold on the Bengals, whom the Browns have beaten 3 of 4, and call it a fluke? The Bengals are an average team that has talent but a bad and inconsistent QB. Haha Yeah it would have been nice to keep Richardson but he obviously didn't fit the new offense scheme.
October 1, 201313 yr Author Also so because each of their losses were within 2 TD's their defense is overrated because of the quality opponents? They held AP to under 100 yards, shut down Ray Rice and the Ravens (even though they lost) and lost to a 3-1 Dolphins team who has played really well this season. Maybe their not overrated and maybe their just good on defense.

In the Power Rankings thread for this week, I have the Dolphins two spots ahead of Cincinnati. I wouldn't say I'm "sold" on either team as a contender. I think Cincinnati is the best team in a weak division. Miami is probably the second best team in their division until Buffalo proves otherwise. As for Richardson, I just feel they made a bad deal and could have gotten more out of him than a first rounder from a team that's probably going to go to the playoffs or narrowly miss them. Their defense is good, I'll give you that. I really like Haden. He's one of the best corners in the league, and his containing AJ Green was a big reason they beat Cincinnati. I just don't see how they can win games, especially when they have to play from behind, with their QB. Sure, many teams may not get "up" on them very much, but it's an offensive league and you have to score to win games if you're going to beat the best teams. I think their biggest win will be Cincinnati, and the only way they could top it would be beating the Patriots (too balanced and still not at full strength), or possibly the Lions, at the Chiefs, or the Bears. Given the current state of those teams, I just don't see them beating any of those squads.
October 1, 201313 yr Ding ding ding. It's better than doing nothing for 23 years. Not hiring a GM or hiring a GM to try and improve the team.....hmmmm. I will go with a GM thank you. You all can talk about the Browns losing all you want but the fat is SO Have the Bengals yet the Bengals have done nothing to try and change their formula while at least the Browns have. They don't keep losing coaches etc. Oh yea, the Browns have also won in the post season since Mike Brown took over the Bengals.

God, we get it, you hate Mike Brown....and to some degree, everything and everyone else. Look at the records of the two organizations over the last 10 years. Look at the impact of the players drafted over the last 4 years. Count up their Pro Bowls. For a guy with all of the answers about the Bengals, I'd think you would know that Duke Tobin is, essentially, the GM. You're the most dead-horse beating human I've ever encountered. Seriously.
