Raiders continue to roll...they have absolutely dominated these past two weeks.

Wow. Ryle vs CovCath is going to be something to see.

Congrats to Frosh Raiders. Stay hungry and humble and take one game at a time. Fun to watch them play!

I have to admit the Ryle freshman looked very good last night but a couple of things stuck out about this team. I have a son that plays for CC and Ryle was just a better team but let me give a little friendly advice to the kids and that is play the game with sportsmanship. There were some pretty bad late hits that were not called and a couple of the lineman got away with some extra curricular play that was uncalled for. You all are a very good team but don't ruin it by playing like that because you have to remember that you have to play this team for the next 3 years and this CC team has a lot of good athletes on it and they may not forget. As far as the coaches are concerned show some class when you are beating a team like you were. Airing it out when you are up by 40 shows me the reason there are so many threads on this site calling for the heads of the coaches and why there are so many teams in NKY that will bury the varsity if given the chance.

Again congratulations to the kids because they are a very good team.

I'm not 100% sure what you saw. If Ryle wanted to run up the score, they could've scored 80+. The starters didn't play the 2nd half.

They could of scored 100+ if they wanted but when your up 40-0 at half with a running clock and your QB comes out throwing the ball to WR on streak routes, that's not a good thing. I don't care if its your 4th string in the game. Ryle has a very good team and obviously the Camels have a ton of work to do. Congrats on the victory and i Hope my Camels make a mental note of this for the future.

Based on game results, Ryle has to be considered the favorite to win the freshman title with Cov Cath their biggest challenge. When do Ryle and Cov Cath play each other?

Oct 16th.

Personally I can't wait- but there's business at hand with CCH playing Conner, Boone and Dixie. Ryle still needs to play SK, Highlands and Conner.

I can only speak to the first half as I left at halftime. Running clock started with 7:21 to play in second quarter. I saw no late hits but I did see some large hits. I saw one instance where a Ryle lineman pancaked a Camel and kept pushing him to the ground until the play was over. No problem with that. A Camel coach yelled out "Are you going to take that? " Ryle let the last 25 seconds run out in the half rather than running another play deep in Camel territory. I saw no bad sportsmanship in the first half.

Ryle must have a dynamite Freshman team.

This is the second group that had played for the Union Raiders, come up to the HS. The Ryle Raiders are just now seeing the benefits of that program.

I think that is the third group. the first are juniors, if I am not mistaken.

That statement is untrue. Your starters started the 2nd half. On your 1st possession, your starting QB threw 5 straight passes for a TD and Jake Long ran the 2 point conversion in to make it 48-0 and it was still a running clock.

Why was the clock running at 40-0? IMO, you pass the ball until you have a running clock. Once the clock is running, you let the game take its course. If a kid breaks a long run, he scores. You absolutely can not tell a kid to take a knee or step out of bounds. But it is a coach's duty to manage the game in a running clock scenario by not: passing, blitzing, blocking punts or any other tactic that may give an unnecessary advantage. Until it is a running clock, it is fair game.

The new rule this year has the running clock starting at 36 points.
