All four of Scott's backs (Osbourne, Castleman, London, and Brinkman) are very fast and capable of breaking one off at any time. I think all of them have at least 1 hundred yard game.

While I will not say Cooper is aweful, I do agree Scott should win this game. If Scott doesn't win I think it will just help confirm those opinions that Scott's schedule is more weak than Scott is good. IMO, Cooper isn't even the best team Scott has played thus far.

Cooper is not awful. This will be a very close game imo. You say they are, so how in the world could Scott lose this game?? I think this will be a close game into the 4thQ. Good luck to both teams and may they both come away injury free.

Cooper needs to stop with the bend but don't break defense that Borchers was so proud of last week it crumbled last two weeks. Cooper has played 4 teams so far this year with weak passing games and have only been able to beat one of those teams. So far Cooper has played 4 bigger schools out of the 5. If Cooper can get Avery going in the run game it could allow them to keep drives going. Wildcat needs to be scrapped or run with Avery to keep defense honest.

I'm not sure how you can tell. I'd say untested is the better word. They've given up a few big plays, against some very good backs (Scruggs and Taylor for W Jessamine). They've only given up 55 points, 20 of which came in one game (on the road). Holy Cross ran the ball well against them, but it was mostly in garbage time with Scott shuffling a lot of players in and out. Nobody has even really attempted to throw the ball against them, which Cooper will do. If Scott can play well against the pass, they will win this game. If Cooper is able to throw the ball, expect a shoot out.

That is why this game really intrigues me. The last 2 years Cooper has owned Scott. Even last year when Scott was much improved over the past and had Conner on the ropes until the end of the game when Conner pulled it out, Cooper still dominated them. Cooper has a very good passing game if they go that route, but they tend to abandon the passing game and try to force the run which can hurt them at times. Scott has put up a ton of points and haven't allowed a lot of points at all.

 

I will be very interested in how Scott's Defense is against the pass if Cooper's passing game is on like it was in NCC and Boone and Campbell Co. when they passed it in those games. I think it will be very interesting to see Scott's run game versus Cooper's passing game. I also think Conner will take note on this game because they are actually very similar in what they like to do this year although Conner's QB is definitely the better runner. But they can spread the ball around like Cooper likes to do which I think will be very interesting on how Scott handles that this week.

 

This game could come down to who blinks first. Who turns the ball over may be the one who loses the game.

I predict that Cooper will end up 2nd or 3rd place in District and this is where it starts for them. If they get their passing game going, then I predict that Scott's bubble will be a bit deflated come Friday night. That said, I believe that this IS Scott's Best year and by whatever measuring stick you use, they deserve kudos for their accomplishments. They will be in the playoffs and have a good chance of revisiting their District Opponents at that time.

Well this should be a good one. Cooper is not big on defense and may have some problems with the Scott running game but they are quick to the ball. Scott better be ready to defend the pass as it is likely the best passing team they have seen this far.

 

Intangibles .......Cooper has been there in big games before and should handle the atmosphere. Scott has not and should be interesting to see how they handle it. Especially if they fall behind.

 

I kind of see both offenses having some success. Special teams could be the difference. I would take Cooper by a thin margin.

Look, Cooper will likely score on Scott, and more than once. But one of HC's TD's was in the second half in garbage time. The comparison doesn't mean anything.
