So lets reverse this and say the HS took kids to Church and gave them Bibles. Would there be a bigger uproar and ACLU looking to sue everyone including GOD. Talk about a double standard, even if it was meant for culture learning. Not to say its a bad idea to exose kids to culture, but talk about an uproar if they took a group of Muslims or atheist to a Church and gave them Bibles to read.

I am OK with the field trip if it was simply to expose the students to religions they only hear about on TV but never have further exposure to. It was the worksheet where it looked like this trip/worksheet may have some indoctrination to it.

Same here. With my lack of faith in the credibility of the media, this worksheet may not be as big of a deal as the article states.

I would let my kid go, just to see what it out there and then discuss it with them to be sure they know what they need to know.

 

But I would also expect a trip to the local church too.
