About as solid as they come.

"I don’t have a plaque in my office or in my house or game balls. That’s not what it’s about for me. It’s just about coaching the guys.”

What more can be said.

A couple of people who have been to his house say that you would never know that he coached. Everything sports related revolves around baseball, in terms of memorabilia.

Great article! I loved the comment about cleaning fish on the plaques. Congratulations, Coach Mueller on your 300th win! Go Birds!

I big tribute in my eyes are all the kids who've had him for AP Physics who loved him as a teacher, even those who couldn't stand football. Good man.

Thanks! Good article.

You must have had 80 put on one of your teams.

Every coach would love to put 80 on the board, difference is Coach Mueller is a good enough coach that he could do it more often than not if he wanted to. For me, he hit the nail on the head when he said its about these kids. He's a darn good coach and he gets what it's all about. Congrats on your 300th victory and please retire soon. Lol:thumb:
