I thought this score would be much worse. Good job to the Breds for playing two 6A schools very tough. They should be ready to make a run in 2A when the districts start

I love how yet another NCC thread ends up becoming a thread about Highlands! So typical! GO BREDS!!!

Ok, lets get this straight. Simon has a good team. But, Lets be honest, you are still not good enough to win state in 6A. Kuntz is an excellent football player. NCC did a nice job against SK's run game. NCC got to the QB most the night, Kuntz did a great job keeping plays alive. He is cleary the 2nd best QB in the area behind barker. NCC forced Simon to punt more than CCHS did in their game. The NCC offense didn't do enough to help the defense, plain and simple. This game was 23-0 in the 4th with 2 of SK's scores starting at the NCC 30 yard line. Finally, You do not have the best defense in NKY, sorry. 45 and 90 for SK are good football players.

This is actually a SK and NCC game thread.

 

And what is typical is that the most vocal SK fan is the one bringing HHS into the discussion.

 

 

 

 

 

This HHS fan was impressed with the Breds. I loved the way they got after it last night. The offense just couldn't muster enough plays to control the ball and flip field position. The SK defensive front 7 were way too big and strong for the Breds. Their ends did a great job of contain and there was nothing to be had between the tackles.

 

SK hit a couple of seam routes for big yardage, Kuntz did a great job of keeping some plays alive with his scrambling, but their best production came on passes to Powell out of the backfield.

 

NCC will coast through N Ky 2A. Hope they can get the injured healthy and be ready when the tougher playoff games begin in about week 3.

SK probably played their worst game this season and still managed to be up 30 to 0.

In years past I would be very hard on this team with my post game reports, however I understand many playing new positions and up against much bigger competition, your going to take some "beatdowns. None of this really matters till district play and then we will see how the past 5 weeks against "bigger" schools has prepared this team. I think we will see different outcomes. :thumb:

 

I think you all will do just fine in district play. Playing the bigger schools should have them prepared just fine.

Hey KyJoe who cares if they have as many cheerleaders as NCC players! That's what happens when you have 5x as many students.

When you look thru the NewCath program you will read my real name in the football records section. I was just stating a fact about # of cheerleaders. My kids will be at SK one day so I am learning about their program and going to a few games. I sat one half on the NewCath side and the second half with my wifes family on the SK side.
