When you talk about this subject we should be talking about Football Programs with tradition and when you think of Scott County, our tradition is young and just starting. Mckee has been in the program now for 17 years he has earned repect along with the program but to say we are part equal to X and T's program or tradition, no we are not yet but looks like we are trending in that direction. I am a big fan of the program

Unless SK has gotten faster than last year wont happen. They could not handle SC speed.

Scott County is "the best of the rest" in 6A and they should be. The ability of Scott County, based on enrollment size, is really what allows them to build a program that is even mentioned with X or T. Scott County, as a public school, has the ability to build a comparable program and pound everybody else in 6A except X or T, but I don't think that gets them a nod to being a 6A power house. 6A football in Kentucky, with the noted exceptions is just not that strong of a class and because of the way it is structured will likely never be. Nothing against the hard work all the kids and coaches put in, just the demographics of the class.

I just don't understand why Scott Co is considered the best of the rest based on 1 game that they lost.

It is hard to argue that point but if you had to say yes or no on a new Big 3 would Scott County be the third team?

 

I really don't think that any public school has earned a right into this discussion. As long as T / X meet before the championship someone else will rise up and be the flavor of the month so to speak, but that being said as of now I wouldn't even put X into this discussion. T has won 7 of the last 10 including the last 6 in a row. That goes back 3 years which I think is meaningful as it is the period of time in which the seniors have been in school. To me the most damaging stat against an X argument to be in the Big 2 is that over the last year years not only has T swept X but the average score of those games as been 35.8 to 6.7.
