Yeah well...SK had a good enough team to win the State Championship in 6A about 4 yrs ago and didnt.

This team Iam sure is a nice team but no way, no how could they play or beat that team

I will say this, I have not seen either team play this yr but the thing that concerns me for Conner is they could be one dimensional and that could hurt them.

 

SK probably is the team to beat in this one but then again they have an unfair advantage during the offseason with that 5 million dollar indoor facility at SK.

FWIW, do one of your eye watering player comparisons between the 2009 State Champion Runner Up team and this yrs State Champion team,

 

Go through each position for us and maybe even throw some stats in and some of the BCS/NFL speed and size next to each kid so we can compare.

This thread has been comical if nothing else. Kinda sad I read through all seven pages.

 

Have not seen either team play this year, but know that Barker is a player. Saw Simon Kenton last year twice versus Scott County and it was over before the teams met at mid-field for the coin toss. Both games.

 

If SK is as legit as this guys says, a possible SK vs SC matchup in the playoffs would be a treat!!!

 

I'll go along with the rest of the state (as someone uniformed about either team) and say Connor by 7 in a high scoring affair. For no other reason than an Elite 11 QB is on their field. But I very well could be wrong. Like I said, don't know much about either team.

Well then why is this such a big game. Obviously Conner isn't in the same league as powerhouse 6A SK. This should be an EASY win for SK...if they are really that good. I haven's seen where anyone thinks Conner is a lock to be spectacular anywhere. I would expect a 35-14 victory for SK. Any closer than that...I willl have doubts about SK. They are a 6A powerhouse playing a 5A above avg team. They should roll!

SK can not sit there and play pass. I don't expect that. SK likes to attack on defense. Barker scrambling is one of the key factors to watch in this game. If SK attacks as usual, they have to focus on containing Barker.

SK doesn't blitz as much as they used to.

Conner in a half did the same thing to a 6A team that SK did to a 2A school. That, home field and the better QB leans me toward Conner in a close one. Say 35 to 28.
