September 24, 201313 yr Just got my numbers today. Through the exchange my premiums would be $3616.00 annually. (thats just for 1 person) with no assistance money. Out of pocket max of $7000 and some change. Luckily I am grandfathered into my current individual which is expecting an 9% increase next year, or so thats what the letter says. Estimate $2052 or so annual for next year. so thats $1564 difference. (Current out of pocket is $5000.00)
September 24, 201313 yr Exactly, look into the mirror. Really zinged me with that one. How come no one's taken issue yet with the substance of the Kos rebuttal? Could it be that Fox was deliberately omitting facts to bolster its bash? What's this world coming to?
September 24, 201313 yr I can guarantee I won't get lower rates than I get with my employer, because that's how my employer is. However, I am going to investigate the exchange options/rates to make sure I know what I would be looking at if things changed.
September 25, 201313 yr Really zinged me with that one. How come no one's taken issue yet with the substance of the Kos rebuttal? Could it be that Fox was deliberately omitting facts to bolster its bash? What's this world coming to? Because Kos is trash and prints propaganda daily. Why do you choose to believe it without supporting facts? Hmmmmm. The fact IS that for the same plan their cost tripled, what happens after that and what the cost to them or the taxpayers is guesswork. I thought you dealt in specifics but I guess not when it upsets your talking points, huh?
September 25, 201313 yr Exactly, look into the mirror. He'll never see it, too blinded by his own bias.
September 25, 201313 yr Because Kos is trash and prints propaganda daily. Why do you choose to believe it without supporting facts? Hmmmmm. Are you sure it's the same plan? I don't believe the Faux story ever stated that. Check this out in the morning and report back to the class. My guess would be the trebled plan is a substitute plan, but how in the world can we tell given the shoddy Fox reporting? I would also like to see the specifics of Mangione's present plan that covers a family of four for $335 or whatever a month. How much is the deductible-- $25,000? The more one digs into this story, the more it stinks. Edited September 25, 201313 yr by Twotoplace
September 25, 201313 yr I just can't believe how stupid this country is. Freedom after freedom is taken away and we do nothing about it.

Your entire argument sounds like a naive college student .
September 25, 201313 yr Because there was no substance ? Main thing I learned from the Kos explainer is that Mangione was used as a shill for Fox. Reminds me of one of those guys at the state fair who stands around and acts like he's a big winner at a rigged game of chance. Let this story serve as an example, Bash. Whenever you see an article that reaches a conclusion but offers little in the way of supporting evidence, link to it at your own risk. The article is likely rigged.
September 25, 201313 yr Because you keep using the "faux" spelling I can't take you serious. Like you ever have in the past! Ha ha ha. Thanks for ending my night with a laff.

September 25, 201313 yr Taxes that go up with AHCA: Americans for Tax Reform : Obama on Obamacare: ?We did raise taxes on some things.? Referenced in above: Obama and Clinton at CGI Obamacare forum (text, video) - Politico Staff - POLITICO.com Interesting comments: Obama: "...what we’re now doing is we’re saying if with the better deal that you got you still can’t afford it, we’re going to give you tax credits to essentially subsidize your purchase of health insurance." Nice of him and government ('we're') to 'give' us tax credits on a product that we legally have to buy or get additional taxes levied. Clinton: "We got to have them in the pools, because otherwise all these projected low costs cannot be held if older people with preexisting conditions are disproportionately represented in any given state. You've got to have everybody lined up. " Note to anyone under 40 - this was a grab of your money. This goes on the backs of the younger generation. Obama: "And I can understand why some businesses wouldn’t want to pay for it. If they're not currently providing health insurance for their employees, what that means is that they’d rather have those additional profits than make sure that their employees are getting a fair deal. " It looks like Obama believes companies of any size and any phase are ALWAYS profitable. Always. So if they do not want to provide healthcare (that many do not today) it can ONLY be explained that they are greedy. This right here is a key reason that this law kills jobs. Small, family-owned businesses have enough hurdles the first few years they are in operation. MOST small business fail. Most. So every mandatory cost applied by the government can only increase that failure rate. Family owned business start-ups put their own monies at risk - often their life (and only) savings. When they fail they are broke. So now, they have this additional hurdle, More will fail and the jobs they bring will be lost in the market. But also more will just not open a business. They will keep their start-up monies in bank accounts and other non-job producing investments. After all - why take the risk of a start-up business that is now made by government mandate even more risky.
