New York in the middle of winter. I would expect a SUper Cold game.

I hope there is two foot of snow

I hope it snows through out the game...the more the better!!!!

I hated the idea of letting New York host a Super Bowl & this is one reason why.

You don't think some snow for the Superbowl would be cool?

Not really.

Why not? Please don't give me purity of the game.

I don't want a Super Bowl determined by weather

I don't want a Super Bowl determined by weather

Let's move all regular season and playoff games into domes then, would that be better than allowing snow, wind or rain to affect the game?

Both teams play in the same weather...If weather is involved I'd rather watch a game in the snow than in a driving rain storm.

Rather watch neither snow or rain in the Super Bowl.

Being a Bengals fan is like being a Cubs fan. Forget how they look on paper. There is a "Bartman" type of event waiting around every corner.

A couple of years ago a group of 4 newbie season ticket holders showed up in front of us in Section 136. Game 1 -- the Bengals took a 4 point lead over the Broncos with about 40 seconds left on the clock. The young turks were high-5'ing everybody, wolfing at some Broncos fans, making Super Bowl plans…we suggested that they not get too excited just yet. There was time on the clock. They scolded us for being so negative…old timers…last year's model….defeatists, etc. etc. Bengals kickoff. Yada Yada Yada, Kyle Orton throws a duck into a crowd of Bengals defenders, it gets tipped…Stokley goes 87 yards for the touchdown.

The young guys never came to another game.

Let's not pop the cork on the Champaign just yet.

That play........another example of Bengaldom...after years of 4-12 the Bengals finally get to eat at the adult table. A home playoff game against the dreaded Steelers.

Carson throws the bomb to Henry on the 2nd play of the game. 66 yard completion. Henry went down right in front of our section. Get up Chris. Get up Chris. He is hurt. Bad. After a moment or two we look to the south side of the field to see a cluster of activity way down by the other end zone. Somebody is down. Who is down? Does anybody see Carson? Chris Henry and Carson go out on the 2nd play of the game. Kantna comes in. Game over.

I think we now know Flotsam what might be the next and ultimate great Bengal moment that shows how bad the Bengals luck can be. Watch the Bengals end up making the Super Bowl this year, and who knows with the Bengals luck even being the favorite, and then the weather ends up impacting them more than the other team somehow and they end up losing. Something like this does worry me because even though I am one of the few believers in them, I do realize how bad the Bengals luck is. Which the timing of the Super Bowl being outside this year, sets up perfect for that next disappointing moment haha.

Why not? Please don't give me purity of the game.

While those games played in crazy weather may be fun to watch occasionally, they generally result in pretty terrible football, and anything that affects the quality of play in the biggest game is bad. Who wants to see a Super Bowl where the score is 7-3, with tons of fumbles and turnovers, and slipping and sliding. Yes, both teams play in the same weather, but a foot of snow is just not conducive to good football. And it would be miserable for the fans at the game....a 4 hour game with tons of TV timeouts. I'm not paying all that money to watch that in person. It will also reek havoc with the betting lines (and yes, like it or not, gambling is a big part of this sport). And transportation could be a logistical nightmare.

Why not? Please don't give me purity of the game.

I think it detracts from the atmosphere. A big part of the appeal is not the game itself, but the festivities surrounding the event. When it's 5 degrees and snowing, it's not nearly as lively as when it's 70 & sunny...

Since I don't actually attend the games, my personal justification for disliking the cold temperature is we won't get to see Beyonce half naked on stage.
