really don't know why a kid wouldn't play a sport for one year because of a coach, if that's the case. We've all played enough sports to realize we haven't seen eye to eye with every coach. Its even more presumptuous not to play for someone, based on someone else's opinion, without finding out for yourself. Maybe the kid doesn't want to play and blaming someone else is an easy out, who knows? What are NCC's freshman numbers, does anyone know? I'd like to know what their numbers are like this year as compared to the past 5 years before I'd have an opinion about coaching.

The best part of this is Drew could care less what "we" think. He will do just fine. He is an intelligent and driven young man who only has one year to prove himself. I think he will.

Back to Houliston, normally I would be slow to say a kid is at a certain level, but he's basically played a half of each of the past two regular seasons. He's seen the field a ton, just not in the pressurized role as a starter. Having watched him throw, on mechanics alone, I feel that he has the POTENTIAL to be right up there. If he so chooses, Georgetown or my beloved Panthers would be extremely lucky to get him. For the record, I am a NewCath fan first, a Highlands fan second. I am not "hyping" him, but calling him how I've seen him over the past 2 seasons and comparing him to where many of the QB's in Walter's article were at the same point.
