Pike County Bowl. Kickoff is set for 8:30 PM

Somerset is coming off a beatdown from Pulaski County 41-13.

Belfry's season opener.

Thoughts/Predictions?

If Somerset isn't careful, this will be worse than the Pulaski County game.

I think the Pirates win.

You think?

Jumpers have enough to work on this week without having to play Belfry. I just hope they get some of last weeks issues fixed and realize the first 2 weeks of the season don't make or break a season.

This one could get REAL ugly, real quick.

Belfry-46

Somerset-18

I don't see the line play issues getting fixed in a week and maybe not at all this season unless there is a change in personnel. I think Somerset puts up some points through the air on a young Belfry defensive front but it won't be enough. Pirates 48-20.

Don't think this is the blowout some are predicting. Belfry basically has a re-built defense which will see 3-4 Freshman playing critical minutes. Expect Somerset to have a fire in their stomach after this weekend and the Pirate defense will be ripe to sustain some success and score some points.

With all that said.. Belfry IMO has the best collection of skill players in EKY on offense and it appears that their OLine will be serviceable after basically entering as a brand new unit.

Belfry 42-21 in a game that actually stays within striking distance until late.

I think it will be a close game. Somerset will play a lot better this week.

Belfry 35-21.
