I hear you. Just seems weird that the guy voted as the best player in college last year returns and is not picked to be the best in his conference.

Does everyone think that the Heisman Trophy winner is always the best college football player? I do not. If the SEC coaches had voted him the best college football player last year, I agree that it would not make sense that they voted him second string QB this year. But the Heisman Award isn't based on the SEC coaches' votes.
