The Ebs and Flows of BGP

And this gets a sympathy like too.

I really like BGP 98% of the time, which is why I've been around for almost nine years now. There are several people I whose posts I look forward to reading, and others that I would just rather not see all together. :lol2: Most of the guys I joined "with" are still around, I like to say we had a good recruiting class. :D

I am with hoops5. When I originally joined, it was due to the HS basketball thread, and I seldom looked at anything else. Those days are in the past, and now I look at everything else but HS basketball for the most part. I feel like there is a lot of good dialogue on here with a lot of intelligent people (except for BigGreenHorse :p), and I feel like I learn a lot.

I would guess at some time or another we all feel like we created a classic post or thread for the crickets.

Excellent thread, and nice posts to kick the whole thing off as well. I, too, sometimes think I've made a excellent point in a post, only to see it ignored. Conversely, I've had posts I just kind of threw out there get all kinds of play.

I'm convinced I've ended more threads than any member in history, i.e. I've had the last post in a thread. Most of the time when I think I make a good point in a thread, it is the last post. Not that the thread is closed, just no more posts.

I'm also convinced anytime I post anything that could be remotely wrong, I get the business. Case in point, several years ago, Colerain lost a few football games early in the high school season. Some posters in a thread of some sort began speculating they would not make the playoffs, even if they won the rest of their games. I politely pointed out they were wrong, and I got piled on a little. End of the day, Colerain won out, and made the playoffs easily.

I've sufficed that I'm a bigger fan of BGP than BGP is of me. I'm good with that. :)

I have had a few of those myself in my short time here. I have actually posted a few posts here and there that I just KNOW are gonna get a ton of likes, just too funny or witty not to. Go back and check it out, no action on that topic again. Just got in on it too late.

I agree. I'm much more clever than you guys give me credit for.

I'm going to get another account to start liking my own posts for a confidence boost.

Hey, everyone deserves a trophy. I'm entitled as well.
