Don't think anyone questioned either...............and IMHO asking questions about past behavior PRIOR to having someone come in and influence the great young men may be the right thing to do.....

Seems like everyone is defining success by how many games they win. I always thought being a HS coach was about character, not W-L. Think about the greatest HS coach you know... And I bet they are great in your mind because of what they taught you about life, not the games they won. As others have confirmed, Mr. Collins has a checkered private past, on top of his public turmoil at previous High Schools. U can't teach a dog new tricks, and this just in - pro athletes sometimes aren't the best role models. It's a question of character, not wins.

Big Sale: Apparently you have an issue with Coach Collins. Please know I did reach out to the baseball professional community, i.e. Reds players, coaches, etc.. I was told he would be the best coach that St Henry could ever have. The issues where in the 80's. Regarding his private past, that's exactly what they are, PRIVATE. Why do you keep digging up the dirt? If you have something that is real, then publish it, otherwise shut up.

So u r saying that at a private Catholic school, a coaches' private life has no bearing, it's not a factor. And when coaching your kids, the past is the past, no matter what.

 

Also, you want me to "stop digging up dirt" to use your words, but you also want me to post "something real". So which is it? That would seem to be conflicting demands by you, and your happiness is my #1 goal.

Here is a crazy idea.. Why dont we stop arguing about whether Dave is good/bad/ugly/etc and just see what happens. I am pretty sure that no matter what your opinions may be that St. Henry has found their guy for the time being. So lets let the cards fall before we judge.

Does Collins still count as a "Head Coach"? St.Henry now looking for its 5th head coach in 4 years. Announced that Collins is not going to coach now and go back to a pro club.
