July 22, 201313 yr At which point, the Reds would likely pass. I don't think Walt's quite ready yet to mortgage the future for someone that's likely only going to be here for the next 2 1/2 months. I'm sure of it.
July 23, 201313 yr One thing I have always noticed about Michael Young is that he barrels up a lot of pitches. I k ow he isn't the best hitter in baseball but it seemed like every time he was on TV last year everything he was hitting a missile somewhere. Sign him!
July 23, 201313 yr He's also a free agent after this season....Doubt they'd be able to afford him, but I'd roll the dice and make a deal for him (within reason) and try to sign him back in the offseason.
