Reds @ Giants 7/22 - 7/24

The Frazier experiment has failed. I don't think I'd want him as my everyday LF either. I'd take Robinson over him in a blink out there. I don't care if they bring in Bill Madlock, get someone on the hot corner who has a chance at a pitch on the outer half.

Reds interested in Micheal Young per SI. Who would they give up for him, Frazier? or do you give up pitching and put Frazier in left? Would Young be a good pick up?

I doubt Frazier would be enough to get him but if he was I would drive him to Philly.

Who do you package with Frazier?, Simon?, Hoover?, Ondrusek?

I doubt they want any of that. Probably prospects.

They'd likely ask for Cingrani.

I don't know if the price would be that high but I hope to God the Reds don't do that.

Choo 8, Heisey 7, Votto 3, Phillips 4, Bruce 9, Frazier 5, Cozart 6, Mesoraco 2, Arroyo RHP.

I've always liked Michael Young. Obviously he's not what he was several years ago, but I think he'd bring positive playoff experience to the clubhouse. And, obviously LF would become extremely crowded with Frazier, Heisey, Robinson, Paul and Ludwick (when he returns)...so you'd figure someone's got to go. (If I'm the Phillies and have my pick, I'd be taking Robinson.)

At which point, the Reds would likely pass. I don't think Walt's quite ready yet to mortgage the future for someone that's likely only going to be here for the next 2 1/2 months.

I agree and hope Walt does too.

Likewise, think he would be a Scott Rolen-type, player and clubhouse-wise.

What's Rolen doing? Bring him back for the rest of the season...gonna give the Reds more than they are currently getting.
