He needs to get back in the classroom.

I don't know how "hot" he is,

but MOUNT HADDEN (d-coordinator at Henry Co.) has a pretty good track record.

The best teams I was ever head coach of were when he was D-C. And I think Henry Co. has improved quite a bit ;) since he was convinced to come help a couple of years ago.

If not a para-pro, I'd bet he'd be one of the best Head Coaches in the state...unique ability to "connect" with kids and get them to want to run through a wall for him. With the "relaxed rules" for para-pros being able to be HC's without being a teacher, I'd say somebody would be doing VERY well to go ahead and hire this one to take over their whole program.

MATT BROWN who was D-C at Waggener last year is also out in the market I believe...very football-knowledgeable and passionate about the game. And since he started coaching on the varsity at age 19 and has helped coordinate offense AND defense he's got to be one of the most experienced assistants for his age out there in the state.

...and more recently (though I struggle with putting this out publicly for fear of losing him :sssh: ), MICHAEL COPLEY who runs our defense AND our weight room at Pikeville.

Cut from the exact same mold as Brian Rector who ran defense for me for a couple of years who went on to get a head coaching position at a brand new school near Nashville and within his 2nd year as head coach won the TN state 5A title.

I think that Randy Borchers of Ludlow would be a great candidate, he had the opportunity to take over the Scott program last year but turned it down. Another assistant coach would be Burnett (I think that's his name) from Beechwood. He took over for Yeagle the one year the he left didn't he?

I was gonna nominate St.X's new Freshman coach...She's real cute...but then I don't think that is what you're wanting....

And I was thinking Sam Adams over at Trinity   and he also seems to be a very good coach too

Brian Weinrich @ HHS. Led Birds to a 2-0 record to start the season. Well liked and respected. Not sure if he'll wait out Dale's run at HHS though.

How about Coach Finn at Bellevue. He has many years of experience with some as a head coach, knows many different systems and is very dedicated to the sport. This much I know is true: There are not many like him around. :D

Dang, coach now you done let the cat out of the bag lol! I agree hes a dandy!

Edwin Allin, DC at SW is ready. He is one of the brightest defensive minds around. Has been ready for a head job for a number of years. Also, Steve Sharpe, former OC at SW and E. Jessamine, now running backs coach at Dunbar, is also ready. They were the driving force behind SW's success from 1997-2002. :thumb: :thumb:

Sterling Ward and Jeff Burton of PLD would make very good Head Coaches. Sterling coaches the DB's and Jeff coaches the Defensive Line. :ylsuper:
