With no player being hit earlier in the game, if there is any follow up to this the offending player should immediately be ejected from the game. Are we really going to see a hit batter war start because of a couple wild pitches by a pitcher known to have control lapses? That's just weak. Many of today's players are a joke. Now it is a problem if you just get buzzed by an inside pitch? I predict this is a total non issue in the next 3 games. Unfortunately, now because of the unfounded drama, if a batter does get hit on either team I am sure things will heat up fast.

May 28, 201313 yr I'm sorry, but there's no way anyone can really think he was throwing at him. Chapman loses control of at least one almost every outing. FWIW, I thought Swisher handled it very well. As to what Chapman said, no one (outside of Swisher and Chapman) knows, and anyone who claims to is lying. The replays clearly showed them say something to one another as Swisher was heading back to the dugout, but it was impossible to see what either said.
May 28, 201313 yr Like I said, the Indians have some of the most homer announcers. That dude is an idiot I don't listen to the TV guys but Tom Hamilton (radio) is an absolute treat. Best home run call in the MLB, IMO.

Like I have said repeatedly, nothing good in or about cleveland. In all honestly, if Canada would take over cleveland, we should sell it to them to reduce the deficit.

I honestly don't know how some people are able to function on a daily basis. Some of those comments are beyond incredible.

Feel dumb, but still think Hamilton is awesome to listen to. As for this story, I want to care...but seriously. It's the teams announcer... Thom Brennanman, when asked the trivia question "Who are the Reds top 3 HR leaders of all-time?" answered with "Well Pete Rose has to be up there"... Just trying to make a story of it but I could care less.
