The Purge (Movie)

Featured Replies

This looks to be a really good movie IMO. Crazy story line though.

I agree, they discussed for about 1/2 hour on KSR the other day. The premise to this story line would make for an interesting real life discussion.

That it would. Really crazy to think about.

If the purge was real, how would you protect yourself? If your in your house they could just set it on fire. If you go hide, they could steal everything in your house and or burn it down.

I guess you could build a reinforced concrete home with no combustible material used on the outer construction. Have portals with 360 coverage to shoot anyone that approaches your house. Short of that just pray not one has a reason to target you and yours.

You think ammo is hard to get now, enact the purge and you would have to reload your own. Stores would be constantly sold out.

Leave the country. If not an option, go to EKY and hide out in a holler.

OK wife and I went and saw this movie this afternoon. OK movie, but the whole purge idea in the movie is jacked up. Tonight would not be a good night for someone to be prowling around my yard, just saying!

One good thing about the Purge, Class III machine guns are perfectly legal!!!

Didn't watch it over the weekend, but will eventually. I know many who watched it and I haven't heard anything bad yet.

If you have 360 portals wouldn't you be shooting back into your house on the back side? Or are you talking about 50 foot high turrets? Even then it would be hard to shoot over your roof. 180 is about the best you could do. I think you'd be better off to get a good insurance policy on your home and hide out in a random field covered in a ghillie suit for 12 hours.

Saw it Friday night....I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, it was predictable, and at times some poor attempts at humor, but it had a lot of action and suspense. The fiancee wanted to leave 10 minutes into it....She was terrified.

I was so disappointed with the young boy. I guess without him, there's no movie. But I was like "Really..." :lol2:

I didn't see it but my son and a friend of mine went with a large group of people to see it, the majority really didn't think it was that good and the overall concensus was the ending sucked.
