April 15, 201313 yr Honestly folks, isn't a suspension a little light for a haircut as awful as a Mohawk? I mean, really ...
April 16, 201313 yr Another case of punishing kids for what their parents fail to do. In the whole scheme of things probably not life altering for the kid, but really there are more important things for a school to worry about than a haircut.
April 16, 201313 yr 1) Did the dress code explicitly state "No Mohawks?" Or was this a matter of interpretation as to what constitutes distracting? 2) Whether kids can actually want a mohawk at that age, I know I did (and got one) over my parents amused objection, just in time for the first grade photos. My little brother immediately followed suit.
April 17, 201313 yr I still contend that suspensions are the best punishment ever... Right. Who in the hell came up with the idea that making young kids stay home from school was "punishment"???
April 17, 201313 yr Right. Who in the hell came up with the idea that making young kids stay home from school was "punishment"??? I was suspended for a week my senior year of HS for an unfortunate "incident." My dad made me dig potatoes all week, then pull weeds when that was done. Wheee!
April 23, 201313 yr I was suspended for a week my senior year of HS for an unfortunate "incident." My dad made me dig potatoes all week, then pull weeds when that was done. Wheee! Did this involve a "sharp instrument"?
April 24, 201313 yr Did this involve a "sharp instrument"? Something like that. I don't know why Big K flinched.
