April 1, 201313 yr I hadn't seen it, & I appreciate that it was posted, and that it came with a CLEAR warning. And like I said, you could have just as easily found it on Google. Posting it on here was in poor taste.

April 1, 201313 yr If I were his parents, I would be wanting a bunch of tests run on my son. I have watched it over and over and I just do not see how this happened without something being wrong.
April 1, 201313 yr Maybe I'm just sensitive to the situation. Like I said before, just seemed unnecessary. Oh well.

April 1, 201313 yr Author Maybe I'm just sensitive to the situation. Like I said before, just seemed unnecessary. Oh well. I'm more disappointed that you think I would do something in poor taste involving a Louisville player. I assure you I would have posted the picture if it had been a Kentucky player.
April 1, 201313 yr Absolutely brutal injury. It made me sick to my stomach yesterday & again today when I see the picture. Regarding whether or not it should be posted: absolutely it should. I think LRCW did a great job with the picture as well as the clear warning. It is most certainly newsworthy & garnering a lot of discussion. By no means am I a Louisville fan but I was pulling for them (somewhat) after the injury. Very emotional and it was great to see a team respond in the manner that they did. Best of luck to Ware in his recovery. By all accounts, everything has gone well thus far.

I assure you I would have posted the picture if it had been a Kentucky player. Let me clarify... I didn't mean it as you posted it because it was a Louisville player. I know that you are far from that kind of poster. When I said it was done in poor taste, it was simply directed at the nature of the injury, and the already incredible availability of the photos. I never took it as a shot at Kevin Ware or Louisville... I just wouldn't ever post something like that.
April 1, 201313 yr I knew what that picture was going to look like before I opened the thread and thank you for the very clear warning in the thread title. Anyone who opens the thread has no right to complain because it is clearly labeled. First of all, of course, best wishes on a full recovery to Ware. Two questions come to mind though. One, what happens with "pain" in an injury like this? Ware was able to talk to team mates, seemed lucid and didn't seem to be in unbearable pain. Doesn't it seem like the pain would be so intense you almost couldn't function in that severe of an injury? Two, not to be too graphic, but why is there no blood? It would seem there should be more blood in that severe of an injury. Hopefully a health care professional can answer.

Many moons ago I was performing a tackling drill at football practice & broke one of my teammates' legs during the drill. He seemed more confused than anything and didn't appear in much pain. It was my understanding that the injury can cause your body to go into a state of "shock" and that helps with the pain. Not sure if there is much scientific backing to that story or not, but that's how it was explained to me.

My cousin also suggested that they may have sedated him, but I have no idea if that was the case or not.
April 1, 201313 yr I remember watching Lattimore after his injury, he almost looks like he was confused how he could tear up his other knee. He didn't look in pain at all, just the pain of knowing the season and maybe your career could be over. So sobering, your career could be over just like that. Good luck to Kevin, hope to see you out against the Big Blue in the near future
April 1, 201313 yr Reminds me of the similar way Alabama receiver Tyrone Prothro broke his leg on a catch. I don't think he ever came back from the injury.
