Get ready for another Carson Palmer drama

Featured Replies

It’s obvious Palmer wants out. Two years ago, he finagled his exit from Cincinnati by feigning retirement. The strategy looked to be a failure until Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell broke his collarbone and former Raiders coach Hue Jackson lost his damn mind, giving up a first-round pick and a second-round pick for a quarterback who isn’t the guy he used to be.

Now, Palmer is turning up his nose at $10 million from the Raiders, which sets the stage for the Raiders eventually to cut him — and for Palmer to play for someone else.

What would you do if you were the Raiders?

And keep their backups in mind when you answer the question.

One problem with that....No one wants him. He won't be able to find a job.

Disagree, I think he will find work maybe as a starter or definitely as a backup.

With who? He's one of the worst handful of QBs in the league.

So the Raiders want him to restructure...but he doesn't want too...How is that his fault? He's not doing anything he shouldn't be doing, it's the Raiders fault to begin with. Same thing has already happened to a bunch of other NFL players but they weren't labeled as causing "drama" when they refused to restructure.

If they do cut him he will land a backup QB job.

I will bet you some free BGP Gear for you or you clean my crib for free that Palmer finds another gig if the Raiders cut him?

You know what I think about Palmer.

Bury him with Al Davis.

What?

And for the record, I think Palmer would be one of the best, if not the best, back up in the league but certainly one of the bottom starters in the league if he gets another chance.

Jacksonville, Buffalo, Arizona someone would bring him in for a visit.

And he would probably start for each of those teams.

If Matt Leinart can find a job as a backup then I have no doubt CP could do the same.

He was smack in the middle among starters last year and would be a top backup. He's willing to take much less money. He'll find a job easy.
