Reds rotation set

Featured Replies

I think Leake is the best 5th starter in all of the NL if not all of MLB.

Leake as a 5th starter is fine. Basically you are looking for 10 wins out of a 5 and he can do that.

The way I look at a rotation is this:

#1 20 wins

#2 17-19 wins

#3 14- 16 wins

#4 12-13 wins

#5 10 wins

That is 65-75 wins our of your starters. Bullpen picks up 20-25 wins and you are a playoff team.

This is last year and they all hit close to what I would consider goal range with the exception of #2 starter........But bullpen picked up 30+ wins so can't complain too much.

Cueto 19

Latos 14

Bailey 13

Arroyo 12

Leake 8

Only positive that comes with Leake is he isn't a half bad hitter. Also is pretty quick and can pinch run.

Marty just said " Homer is not fooling anybody today!". He has been getting racked lately.

Every player hits that proverbial wall in spring training around this point. This close to the season spring training becomes meaningless to players an they lose focus. I'm sure he will pick it back up going into the season along with the rest of the players

Jose Rijo sucked in spring training most outings.

Look for Bailey to win 19-20 this year.

I wanted Chapman to be in the rotation last year, but it's tough to argue with that 5...

Would it be great to have another season injury free on the staff. Should that happen, look out.

I hope you are right, but too many things happen for #3 starter to get that many wins.
