Chapman " I dont want to start, let me close"

Featured Replies

My biggest concern is fatigue. He's had a history of getting a tired arm. While he's pitching more innings, he'll also have more time to recover in between appearances. Will he be able to go 6, 7, 8 innings consistently? Some other concerns.. As a starter, will we be seeing him gas hitters consistently in the high 90s? Or will he bring some heat with 2 strikes? Will he gain good, consistent command of that change up and slider? I think those two pitches might be more important than the stinky cheese when you're going long distances. Personally, I don't mind seeing Aroldis in the rotation, but I also don't want a ton of slack on his leash. If it's not working out, it'd be best to nip it sooner rather than later.

In reality, who cares what a player wants?

What if Votto says he wants to bat 7th?

Well he said he wouldn't move to LF.

I would hope the manager, and front office care.

Disagree overall. His job is to help the team win. If Walt decides it's best for him to start then he starts and doesn't say anything else. I'd urge Dusty to shut up about this as well.

Walt builds the team. Players don't get a say. Dusty's job is to coach them.

Well he said he wouldn't move to LF.

Silly facts.

Some players don't get a say.

He and any other player can say what they want. It's still upto Walt to do what's best for the entire organization.

Bingo, I'd guess Walt is really growing tired of him running his mouth about this situation.

No, that's what his interpreter said. Who knows what he really said.

:laugh::thumb:

Seems the players do have a voice.
